Good deal for the money. Works well
Used it for the first time today on 4 holes in concrete. Worked great. Plenty of power and stable. Can’t beat the price.I didn’t even bolt it down. I just stood on it and it stayed straight and cut good. You can feeel when it hits rebar but it cut right through it at 1/2 speed.Only Cons:4 Bolts to adjust level on the stand are hard to move by hand.No spanned wrench to grab the drill to unscrew the bit. This is a tool you will need at some point. Bit got stuck in the drill. For the money it’s a great machine.

Output thread much bigger than expected:
Seems very heavy duty.. couple slight variations from what is shown in the pic..only came with one set of extra brushes.. and there is a bolt with an anchor that was missing.. but real problem is that the output is very large thread compared to in my pic of a 1.25" core bit. ahh.. instructions say use adapter.. but there was and is no mention of what this thread is.. (ordered adapter now good to go) and update after using.Other thing I just noticed.. it has Good Qty 120VAC Plug, but it is the 15Amp version, if this device was actually 3800 watts as it is labeled and listed it would blow the regular 15amp breaker very fast.. so far I have only tested no load.Ok we have now done Six 1.25" Holes and it is working like a champ, we are in an old building and AC outlets are ungrounded, so using a 2-3 plug adapter and so far not one breaker problem, longest penetration was over 12" solid structural cement, very hard stuff.. and no issues.. 100% satisfaction.. we made a floor mounting system to use on the finished floors rather than bolt down.. I have heard of vacuum systems for same use.. but not having any issues.. just standing on mount to hold in place..

It will definitely do the job
Unit arrived well packaged, everything appeared to be there. It was used to drill two 5" and a 2 3/4" hole through an 8" reinforced concrete wall. Both bits centered nicely on the threaded chuck, a weed sprayer was used with the included hose to feed water while cutting, approx. 1.5 gal per hole seemed to be sufficient. It drills every bit as quickly as the Hitachi core drill I have used in the past, you need to pay attention to the feed pressure as it is easy to force the feed rate too quickly and I'm sure burned windings and brushes would result. It does have an odd smell while operating, but nothing got hot to the touch, and it took about 15 minutes per hole on the 5" holes, about 10 min for the 2.75". Drastically better than using a hand operated drill with coring bits. Given the internal power cord size I don't believe the 3800 watt rating, but I did have it powered by a 30 amp, 110 volt circuit and ten guage extension cord. If it lasts 25 holes, I would consider it worth the money, and thus far I believe it will.

    Worked well for me but...
Worked as expected. I drilled 5 - 2” wide x 6” deep holes faster than I thought I would with this beast. It was a bit scary to use haha because this was my first time ever core drilling and i was afraid it would bind up but it didn’t. Instructions are terrible. Comes with an extra set of brushes for the motor which leads me to believe the motor will burn out if you push it too hard. I have it 4 stars because parts of it feel too much like “Chinese quality” for me but like I said worked pretty good.

    Works great
I bought this to make holes in a new lava-rock/concrete wall so I can mount an aluminum fence with 2" posts. I didn't get to use it until today and I am really impressed with how well it worked. I only drilled 3 holes because I was learning how to use it but it really was easy. A couple things about how I'm using it.First, I'm not bolting it down like you're supposed to. Instead, I have a 3 foot long 3x4 with a bolt through one end to locate the 2x4 in the drill stand. It's not bolted to the drill, the bolt in the 2x4 just sits in the slot on the drill so the 2x4 won't come out while I'm using it. The other end of the 2x4 has a small piece of 2x4 attached so that the longer 2x4 is essentially level when it's on the drill base. When using the drill I just sit on the 2x4 in order to secure the drill. The second thing is I adjusted the gibs on the drill head so the head can slide very easily and I just use gravity to feel the core bit. The whole setup takes less than 5 minutes to drill and 8 inch deep 4 inch diameter hole.I've got a few hundred holes to drill, hopefully it will last. :)

It may be Chinese made, but it works like a charm.
May be Chinese made and relatively cheap (compared to other big name brands) but this thing sure does behave just like all the name brand ones that I have used over the years. Used on three jobs for my new business and has already paid for itself 5 fold. Also used it with a thread adapter and smaller core barrel to install a pool guard rail for elderly in-laws. Browny points! Remote locations with no running water and works fine with a gravity feed water bucket. Tapped on the side of the core barrel when finished with a small hammer and concrete core fell out every time, like it should. Only down side is that the startup wattage requirement is high and you need a heavy duty generator to power it if you are at a remote location.UPDATE: used on two more jobs and still working fine. One site was just a couple locations, second site was over a dozen cores in both concrete that was 8+ inches deep and old asphalt. Worked fine and did not even trip the fuse when I got impatient and pushed down too hard.... did not realize how thick the concrete was at the site.UPDATE 2: still using it and still going strong after over a year.
