FAN DIED AFTER 15 MINUTES OF TURNING IT ON!
THIS FAN DIED AFTER 15 MINUTES OF TURNING IT ON FOR THE FIRST TIME. I was in love with this fan when I first saw it online and more so when I finished assembling it. The style is beautiful and it was whisper quiet. Imagine my shock and disappointment when it stopped running. I initially was going to exchange the fan for a new one but decided to do some research first. I was surprised to find numerous similar complaints as mine. The exact same fan is sold by different well-known vendors under different names. The fan quitting within several days to a few months of purchase has been a major and fairly consistent complaint. This must be a design flaw. I would not recommend purchase.

Good heavy duty fan and it looks good
The blade was hard to get on because of where the screw was placed

    Wouldnt buy it again
Difficult to assemble (instructions awful) and cord is very large and hangs from top of motor. Would be much more nice if the cord ran through the body and out near the bottoms.

    Beautiful But Flawed
I purchased this fan on line. The good thing about this fan is how beautiful it is. It was just what I wanted. Sadly, there is something wrong with the assembly. I tried for hours to put this thing together. There is a large washer and base lock screw on the bottom which is supposed to shore up the standing pipe outer housing so that when assembled the decorative housing doesn't free spin. No matter how hard I tightened the screw, the outer stand pipe housing spun like a top. That's when I noticed a large gap at the upper part of the stand pipe. I tried putting in washers to close the gap and it worked - kinda - put now the aesthetics of the fan were compromised. Other reviewers have mentioned something about a small black screw. There was no small black screw in the box. Would this have solved the problem if I had it? I then noticed that the rubber lining around the base that is intended to protect my wood floors was damaged. I gave up. I didn't even attempt to assemble the motor because by now it was obvious that this fan wasn't "machined" or "honed" correctly at the factory. Returning it.

    Classy!
This fan has a wonderful classic look and it is all metal! Worth every penny. As other reviewers have warned, be on the lookout for that tiny screw. Much quieter and classy than my old black, plastic fan.

    Great Value
I bought more or less for an accent piece due to its retro look. I didn't expect the performance to be so amazing. That being said, it took about 25 minutes to put together. Pay close attention to the tiny screw needed for the fan blade. It could easily be lost in unpacking. That being said, at this point, it seems to be a great value and quite the sturdy floor fan.

Well made, works great, looks great fast shipping
This fan is really well made and works great, there is some noise but it's just the air passing through the grill. Even on the low setting it pushers out lots of air. It took 25 minutes to assemble and it was easy and it looks great... I am very pleased with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking a vintage looking fan that works great. Two things however... the last screw you use to hold the two grills together (which can be seen btw) is stainless steel and doesn't match the rest of the fan... yes it is small but seems such a shame they didn't use a matching screw. The second thing is it says to move it use the handle on the top of the grill... Well....don't do that because you could/will throw off the alignment of the grills which will cause unnecessary noise... it's really a stupid idea to pick it up by the handle... if you want to move it pick it up by the main shaft. Also the cord is an eye sore and there is no way to hide it...but I still love this fan, I may well be head over heels in love it. I paid Less than $100 with a 3 year warranty.
