Beautiful Dsugn
This is a beautiful pitcher. The double walled Design helps keep my drinks cold in the pitcher. I really love the fact that the lid is snug and doesn't just fly off. I usually use it to make lots of ice coffee lol. The fact that it is clear it will match any of your other table setting. It has an easy to pour spout that doesn't leak all over the place. I would recommend this item. It makes a great addition to my summer table settings

    Not durable
    My daughter dropped the lid while she was looking at the new purchase and it broke in half. We literally never even got to use it.

    Poorly designed
    This pitcher spills as you pour. Its only $10, but you just as well go for a more expensive type because you will be cleaning a mess every time you pour a drink.

    Attractive - but impossible to fully close spout
    This Mainstays 2.5 qt. clear pitcher is a fairly standard size, with enough room in which to prepare 1/2 gallon of your favorite cold beverage, plus just enough extra room so the lid can be inserted in the top of the pitcher without immediately causing spillage. The double walls cannot be separated, so although you'll have an extra layer of insurance against leaks if the outer wall should crack, you cannot fill the space between the two layers with water and then place the pitcher in the freezer to create a layer of ice to keep your beverage well-chilled. On the other hand, the clear design is certainly attractive, and is well-suited to making beverages such as "sun tea." To test this pitcher, I prepared a batch of a sugar-free fruit-flavored instant tea. I had no problems at all pouring myself a glass of iced tea from the pitcher with either the lid off or with the lid on and set so that the spout cut-out was lined up with the spout. However, when I turned the lid 90 degrees to close off the spout, I was still able to pour myself a glass of iced tea from the ostensibly-closed pitcher. Unfortunately, the inside edge of the lid just does not extend down far enough to close off the spout. This is still quite a pretty pitcher, and otherwise well-suited for typical uses. Just don't expect it not to spill when the lid is closed. Recommended with reservations.

    My anniversary is coming up and I wanted to get some drinks pitchers that would be sturdy and eye catching.. this pitcher is very good. It has weigh to it. The design is flawless.i am in the love with this drink pitcher. I would definitely recommend this item. I would definitely recommend this pitcher

    Sturdy but not airtight
    This is a really nice pitcher. It is nice to look at, especially when serving drinks out in the sun. My only issue is that it is not airtight. When you look at the lid you will see a notch that you place over the pour spout when putting the lid on. The lid does not turn easy - you will have to lift it up off the pitcher to readjust it if you want to close off the spout area. That said, the spout is still a bit exposed even when the notch is not over the pour spout. My recommendation if using this outside is to not worry about placing the notch of the lid at the exact position of the spout since drinks will still pour easily because you will still have a little bit of a shield from larger bugs getting into the pitcher.

    Only nice looking
    When I opened the box and took a first look at this MainStays Clear Doublewall 2.5 Qt. Pitcher, I liked the look and feel of it. It is a sturdy pitcher and is BPA free. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. First there is no closure position on the lid, it doesn't matter which way you turn it, there's alway an opening for the liquid to be poured out. Also if the liquid is full up near the top of the pitcher, the liquid will leak out. The point I'm making is that the pitcher is always OPEN. The one good thing about this pitcher is that's its doublewalled; however it has a design flaw. At the rim of this double walled pitcher, there's a space which will certainly allow water while it's being washed and therefore will permit moisture built up. I cannot recommend this product.

    The mainstays 2.5 pitcher is clear so there's no guessing what's inside.Perfect for my ice tea.It is double insulated to keep your drinks cold long.This is a nice sturdy pitcher that you can use everyday.yes i would recommend this pitcher.

    This is a must have for summer time fun
    This is a must have for summer time fun. That looks great, feels great and will hold ice all day long due to the fantastic double wall protection. My wife and I drink iced tea all day long while sitting outside in the summer. This is the perfect container for such liquid and and more . This is built solid and the lid fits perfect. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a fantastic pitcher. The double wall protection prevents any sweating so no more sweaty containers .
