Does the job
We looked into dustless air conditioning and of course with just purchasing the house it was not in the budget so we decided to look at air conditioners and we picked this one based on looks and features and I have to say…. This air conditioner cools my whole downstairs !!! I'm not sure of the square footage but it's 3 pretty good sized rooms and also starts up go up the steps!

Bad product
I bought this less than 3 years ago, and the amount of corrosion to the back compressor was not worthy of the LG name. This with that part being under total cover from the elements of weather. The difficulty of getting this unit replaced has Lao been a nightmare.

    Island Salt Water :(
    This AC unit was nice at the beginning for our 970sqft condo, but we've had it for 2.5 years and the salt water has started to corrode the outside fins. The installer thought it was weird that there wasn't a drain plug or any discussion in the manual about having it drain. It now looks like this might be related to the corrosion issue. We're not sure how much more we'll be able to use this 18000 BTU unit, so a little disappointed in this unit.

    Good customer service!
    All went very smoothly. Had a delivery issue because the carrier left my a/c in the lobby abandoning the package and not bringing it up to my apartment. Also, the a/c came with dents on the body but when I called a customer service all had been resolved quickly.

    Happy with this purchase, would buy again.
    Installed in 12' X 35' Sunroom (with 8 windows and 2 Skylights) that is attached to house. On a 93-degree day it easily brought the temperature down to 73-degrees in sunroom. Brought remainder of house down to comfortable 75-78 degrees and removed humidity throughout the house. Had to have assistance to install unit into mounting frame after installation of frame. Also installed support outside under the unit. In process of installing window and skylight blinds to aid AC unit in cooling.

    Bought this to replace a very old window model in our house. It definitely takes up less electricity and cools the area right in front of the unit but it ices up on the coils and does not cool the room as efficiently as our old unit.

    The best window AC we've ever owned.
    There are several things to like about this unit (LG Dual Inverter 14,000 BTU window AC). It is energy efficient (especially when placed in the energy efficient mode). It is quiet. The housing for the unit is placed in the window first. Then the AC unit is placed into the housing. You don't have to wrestle a heavy unit into the window when you are installing it or removing it. The cleanable air filter fits nicely into the unit (at least compared to a previous unit by another manufacturer). The room air inlets are on the side and bottom. This feature is liked because it presents a nice clean surface for viewing and it tends to prevent short circuiting of the cold air back into the unit intake. We have read some reviews where they talked about a high pitch sound. We did not have that with this unit. Perhaps it is a more updated unit than the previous units (purchased in spring 2022). It is a relatively heavy unit. It will most likely take more than one person to safely move it unless perhaps you have a wheeled hand truck. If you use the accordion side panels, there may be some sharp objects (points of screws) on the inside of the housing when the refrigeration unit is slid into the housing. You may want to be extremely careful during this part of the installation. The unit has only been used in the energy efficient mode since receiving it and we are extremely pleased with it (very quiet and keeps the room nice and cool).

    Quiet and affordable.
    Cools my classroom quickly and quietly. I am pleasantly surprised that my 550sqft open classroom feels cool in a few short minutes! Running at a low hum, it does not come through as background noise during my online meetings, the way the last one did.

    Where do I begin. The atmosphere in my room has relaxed. Like the air is cleaner for some reason. But cooling wise this a/c gets the job done. And it's quieter than the other one I had. It has dry feature that dehumidifies the room. It's always like a fall cool day lol. Maybe I'm hyping it up but the truth is since I put this a/c I feel like it increased my comfort level and I enjoy my room that much more. I hope this helps someone decide to buy this awesome ac.
