Honeywell outdid themselves!
First - FILTER FREE! This is the number one reason why I love this Honeywell Warm Mist Humidifier the most. The set up is very easy. Take humidifier out of the box, plug in, fill and turn on. It's all one piece (except for the lid). No tank to take off and fill and attempt to flip over without spilling. The design is the best I have seen yet. There is a cup in the top where the steam comes out for essential oils. This was another win for us. The humidifier would be very easy to clean if need be. Auto shut off is also a plus when the tank is empty. The tank is large and will hold a decent amount of water. Only downfall is the humidifier is a little on the larger side, but this is no issue for me as I have it placed on our nightstand next to the bed. This is a necessity for the winter for us! Honeywell outdid themselves with this design.

Disappointing. Would not power on.
Straight out of the box it was an easy set-up. Would not power on. Removed all the insides pieces and put it back together per instructions. No lights turned, machine just sat there.

    Best Warm Mist Humidifier
This humidifier is fantastic! I am a big fan of warm mist humidifiers because they don't leave mineral deposits everywhere. The best feature of this one is the top fill feature! It's so nice to simply leave the humidifier in its place and bring over a pitcher of water to refill it right from the top! It also has two steam settings so you can either have it going high or low. The only thing I would love would be if it automatically adjusted based on the humidity in the air, but overall, I have nothing to complain about. This one is a winner. It's been going straight for several weeks this winter and I have not noticed any issues with performance.

    Easy to setup!!
It is perfect size of humidifier for the bedroom. I have setup this humidifier for my baby. It is easy to fill up water from top without opening anything. It also have small space to add essential oil. One of the thing that I have noticed that it does not spread more mist. It just make small amount of the mist. Overall, it is good quality of humidifier and it is very easy to setup and use. It also have two setting of hot mist based on the requirement.

    Honeywell keeps improving this humidifier.
Because we live in the dry climate of the high desert in SW Colorado, I've become something of a connoisseur of humidifiers over the years, owning a number of different models of different brands, and this is the best humidifier I have found. We've owned three different models of this Honeywell design (see photos), and Honeywell has been consistently improving each new generation. In this review, I'll call them Gen 1 (HWM340), Gen 2 (HMW440), and Gen 3 (HWM445). Trust me, I have no connection to Honeywell, but I'm pleased to find good products and to applaud efforts to improve them. All three generations share these basic features: (a) Top-fill: Just pour water into the top--no need to remove any part of the unit and take it to the sink or tub for a refill. The unit automatically turns off when it runs out of water. (To fill the unit's water reservoir, I use a 2-gallon gardening water can with the spray cap removed: the part with the little perforations in it.) (b) No expensive filter/wick to replace at regular intervals. (c) Water is heated to boiling by the "heat dome" and emerges from the unit in a fine mist that looks more like smoke than spray. Boiling hot water probably limits bacteria growth better than cold-water spray. (d) water from the reservoir is released to the heat dome area by a float mechanism. (Be sure to remove the packing tape from the float before first use. And be sure the removable float is firmly seated, or the unit may leak water from the side wall.) (e) THIS UNIT REQUIRES REGULAR CLEANING to prevent heavy scale buildup on the heat dome. Cleaning is pretty easy. Once a week, I place the unit in a sink and remove the "mist chimney," but leave the "heating element cover" (heat dome cover) in place, and pour vinegar into the heat dome area until the vinegar just covers the nearby float. Then I put the chimney back in place and let it all soak overnight. I want the heat dome cover and the bottom of the chimney to soak in the vinegar along with the heat dome to facilitate scale removal. The next day, I pull out the chimney and dome cover and clean off any scale. Scale is harder to remove from the heat dome itself, but with the weekly vinegar soak, I can usually scrape it off with my thumbnail. Sometimes I use a wooden chopstick to gently scour the base of the heat dome where scale and slime sometimes collect. Depending on the hardness and minerals in your water, you might need to clean the unit more or less often than once a week as I do. TIP: We use this unit to add moisture to the main living area of our house: living room, dining room, and kitchen, which have wood floors that can easily be damaged by water. I've yet to find a humidifier that didn't leak at some point (on this unit, my fault, because I didn't have the removable float seated properly.) So, I have taken to placing the humidifier in a plastic bin obtained from a farm/ranch store. As an added precaution, I place a moisture sensor in the bin. I'm a big

    Honeywell Humidifier
I was excited about the unit. Straight out of the box it looks sleek, but I was worried about its size. This one is made upward instead of round and wide like most humidifiers. The instructions seemed pretty simple. It has a top you remove to fill it with water, easy to see and fill. I thought based on the instructions, there would be more button options, but there is one button you turn on and off for either low or high mist. No other options. The small groove in the top allows for essential oils to be added towards where the mist comes out. Overall using it was easy. I was pleased with how quiet it was. You can barely hear it when it's on. Size wise, it did take up a bit of room on the night stand but overall, I like the unit and have used it several times since it arrived. I'm sleepin pretty well with it.

    Very Quiet
Out of the box this is an amazing design for a warm mist humidifier! I don't have to detach any water reservoir and risk spilling all over the floor. I can fill a gallon jug and pour it directly into the unit. Second it's filter free, no extra parts to disassemble to clean, just pop out the necessary detachable parts, give them a good scrub and dry, clean out the unit, dry it well and reassemble, fill and go! It's a very quiet unit, I didn't even notice that it was running. The essential oils cup is great, it filters through the air with the steam, it's nice to have the added scents in the air in addition to the extra moisture in the winter. This unit holds quite a bit of water, I'm guessing about a gallon and a half and when ran on the low humidity setting can last a few days with intermittent use.

    steamy
The Honeywell warm mist humidifier is really quiet to run at night while at night. the steam it pumps out on high is really amazing to fill my room with humidity the lower setting will help maintain once you have reached your humidity level. The top has an easy fill compartment and it is pretty big enough to hold 1.5 gallons of water so it will not run out over night with easy operation. This is a must have for those dry winter nights.

    So nice!
This humidifier is SO NICE! Took a minute to set up. The top fill design is easy to fill. It holds enough water so that it doesn't need constant refills. It truly helps with my seasonal sinus discomfort due to having the heat on. I can add essential oil if I choose to. And my jungle plants enjoy the added humidity as much as I do!
