Top of the line air conditioner
I bought this for the summer days and my first experience is that overall it has good features like energy saver and the remote this will cool up to 2 rooms with a fan to.push the air in the other room highly recommended [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I bought this model to replace my 15 yr. old one. It cools well, but after it rains the water that is captured inside the unit makes a thunking noise as it hits the fan blades. It sounds like a bunch of pebbles are hitting the inside of the case and can be heard all through the house. . I don't understand why there is nowhere for the water to drain. The instructions state that the warranty is voided is you drill a hole in the unit. Therefore, I would not recommend this unit.

What I did like was the condition it arrived in. I should get a partial refund. The box was very damaged and the unit itself had a least 3 minor damaged areas. It cost too much to just have it tossed around. I have not heard from anyone in regards to compensating me for the damage. I did reach out to the supplier via email days ago. I got crikets. Perhaps Walmart will make it right ? I hope so!Donna

Definitely happy I purchased the larger model. The remote control is a great feature. I can keep the remote in the kitchen and with the remote sensing I can set the temperature and the air conditioner will turn on and off as the remote senses the temperature I set it to. I only gave it four stars because it does make a bit of clanging noise sometimes which can be annoying but it is not constant so I can live with it. I bought this for my family room (24x20). It also cools the family room (actually freezes me out), into my dining room(14x14) and into my kitchen, which is well over 850 sq ft. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because you have to take it completely apart and out of its casing to install the top bar and side vents to hold it in the window. It's a heavy unit and not a job for one person. Why can't that stuff come installed? Also, it was damaged in shipping and the bottom front plastic had a crack and coils inside were bent some. After the first day, it started making a knocking sound and it's getting louder. I hate to return it as I'm not sure how aggravating that will be....but I'm going to keep it a bit longer. Like I said.....it's great as far as cooling. It really does do the job.Annie

Only reason it didn't get a full 5 stars is because it came to best buy damaged. The packaging was lacking styrofoam so the front panel was cracked. However I contacted support and they sent a replacement part right away. It's a pretty heavy rig so make sure your windows can support the weight. OverallI would highly recommend.
