College apt must have!
I purchased this fire extinguisher for my son's college apartment. It's not huge or teeny tiny, it's just right! This extinguisher is effective on each different type of fire you could expect in a typical household. It's important to be ready for the unexpected.

This fire extinguisher is too heavy for octogenarians and I need to return the two i bought, but i keep getting a run around from Walmart.

    Good extinguisher and good price.
    The size and operation seem fine. I just don't like the mounting location. I wish it was off the body of the extinguisher rather than up top where you can only mount it in one direction.

    Motorhome Saved
    It worked perfectly and prevented what could have been a disaster. While taking a trip to Florida, we started having starter problems on our motor home. A service man came and got us moving again, but said the wire to the starter was very fragile so it may not start again. We arrived at the campground and tried to start the engine again, and it would not start. So we called another repairman, who was to arrive in a day or two, meanwhile, we enjoyed the beach. The next evening after we got back from dinner I went into the bedroom and smelled something that had the smell of burning plastic, and knowing the starter was giving problems I went out and looked under the coach and sure enough flames from the starter. I screamed for my husband to get the fire extinguisher which was at least 8 years old, he grabbed it pulled the pin and sprayed the starter fire, easy, and a few seconds later the fire was out. Had this First Alert failed, we could have lost our motor home, and also the RV's on each side of us in the campground could have been lost also. A great investment for your motorhome, and at home, car, anywhere, you never know when you will need it for yourself or a close neighbor. Thank you First Alert, I am ordering 2 more right now.
