Dances with Wolves DVD has bad spots in the movie
There are bad spots in the movie where it freezes and you cannot get it to move on past the bad area. The movie itself is a good movie and we wanted it and still want a good copy of same. The way this one is makes watching it stressful.

    when I saw this for $3 in change it was a no-brainer, one of my top favorites all time. it's a widescreen format with a clean menu. absolutely no skips glitches or freezing, played flawlessly for the 181 minutes of its entirety. I just opened up the package this morning I'm on my second encore and I'm sure there will be dozens more. it is definitely a widescreen edition giving me more of a scene to view. video and audio are both clean.

    wouldn't do it again.
    DVD is funky and won't play in some DVD players. bought 9 movies, this is the only one with some kind of weird codec that has trouble being read.

    My movie was well packaged and plays very well.
    It is very clear and sharp. It was in a package that was well protective of my movies and kept them from having any damage. I am deaf and it has captioning so that I can understand what is being said in the movie. I really appreciate that a lot.

    Hard to find version of Dances With Wolves
    This is the only widescreen, theatrical DVD release of "Dances With Wolves" I've found out there. At 181 minutes, it is 56 minutes shorter than the 236 minute director's cut, and does not suffer for being shorter. Other 181 minute versions are available, but they are full-screen, and this movie pretty much demands a wide screen viewing.
