After using just one on a piece of pine the metal snapped about a inch down. Good thing i was wearing eye protection. Piece hit me in my forehead

    Very good starter set.
    good beginners set. Soft enough metal that it makes it easy to sharpen. You will need to keep sharpening if you are using this on hardwoods. Pine and Oak works fine with this set. Very good starter set to verify if you like wood turning.

    Biltek 8 piece wood Lathe starter kit
    This is a great wood lathe starter kit. It is very reasonably priced and I could not ask for something better for novice wood lathe tools. I would highly recommend this tool set to someone who is just learning how to use a wood lathe.
