This Multimeter is easy to use and has many useful function
This Multimeter is easy to use and has many useful function, such as measure capacitance. Although I have had some difficulty measure capacitance for components on a circuit board, this may very well be due to my own incompetence as a beginner. I have not tested all the features, but I can confirm that the diode test, voltage test, and continuity test works fine.

Not a bad meter
Not a bad meter, especially for the price. My issue is there are multiple settings on the continuity part of the dial. I wanted to know i was testing continuity immediately after turning the dial to the continuity function. Instead i have to turn the dial and the press the button twice. It’s pretty easy to accidentally switch into a different mode without realizing it.

    Good Meter for under $20
    I really like this multimeter, it does everything the average person needs to do and it's simple to operate, Ac and dc volts, ohms, continuity, diodes and can check capaciotrs. The non contact power function is useful for checking for voltage for example you can hold it close to an outlet and it will let you know if there is voltage there. Shuts off in 15 minutes if you forget to turn it off and has auto ranging and came with a good manual. Only dislike I have is the leads are a little stiff but for less $20 it's a good buy.

    Low cost, but still functions very well. Manual-select options are fine for those who have an idea what they're measuring, but the manual's easy enough to follow as well. There's a slight lag in some readings (I've noticed it on AC and DC voltage and some resistance measurements. Also, it has pretty short tester leads. However, for the every-now-and-then user like myself, this thing's perfect.

    Meter is accurate and a great value
    Meter is accurate and a great value..but..the audio tone is not loud enough to hear even when there is no background noise !! Its fine for bench work but trying to diagnos electrical connections while machine is running..is a no go...sorry guys..i like the unit but having to divert my eyes to read the screen is not an option sometimes !!

    The unit functioned fine with the few things I tested. The key problem was the probe to clip connector for the negative probe was defective. Tried several times but it kept coming out. I removed the protective sleeve for the clip and noted the clip was defective and would not securely hold the probe. I also checked the positive connector without the sleeve, inserted and removed it several times and it held securely. However, on close examination I have doubts that it will hold up under extensive use.

    Replaced a, not so cheap, meter that, very early on, refused to measure AC (eschew Extech like the plague).For this price: a no brainer.All functions worked....additionally the NCV feature is terrific.Flip to NCV, put the meter next to a powered outlet and bingo: beeping.No brainer...at this price, even if it dies in a couple of years....just buy another.

    I have several multimeters
    I have several multimeters... I find frequent use for them: in the house, in the workshop and in the RV. When I looked to replace a fuse that blew in one, I found that for $10 more I could have a brand new one with better features. This was certainly a good choice. Came very well packaged with instructions in a readable font size and in clear, standard American english. I particularly like the several automatic features and the ability to detect voltage in wires and outlets with the "no contact" feature. Easy to replace AA batteries and the included alligator clip option for tips was an additional plus. Take a few minutes to read through the instructions to see all the things this device can do for you.
