Great Buy
We are so glad we bought this ,the picture quality is clear audio is clear we get a phone call when they press the doorbell straight to our phone . Easy to install. The price was actually pretty good we researched around!

Does not function correctly
Do not buy this. It does not work properly when the ring button is pressed. The video on the app is scrambled and will cause the app to either crash or timeout. There is also a horrible delay in response. It has not worked correctly a single time since it was installed about 2 weeks ago. I cannot figure out why it is rated so highly, but I promise, you will be disappointed if you buy this product.

    Do not purchase unless you want to purchase a plan
    Be advised that this wired door bell camera will not record to the free 7 day library of Arlo systems such as Pro and Pro 2. It requires a paid plan with Arlo or you need a SIM or USB attached to your station.

    Great quality video, nice added features!
    The wired video doorbell by arlo is a great video doorbell with so many features! The quality of the HD video is the biggest benefit to me and you can even see who is at your door at night with the night vision feature. I also like that the doorbell has a 180 degree viewing angle because I do have a corner close to my doorbell and I can even see that area to view if a package was left there. You can pre-record a message if you aren't home, but don't want anyone to know that you aren't home because you aren't coming to your door. And if someone tries to pull out your camera, a siren is triggered to scare them off. If you want to expand your system beyond the doorbell, arlo has other products that are compatible with this doorbell too. It is a wired doorbell, but it was very easy to install for my electrician, no problems there! With so many packages being delivered to homes now, you will love the safety and extra features that the wired doorbell camera by arlo offers.

    Great product!
    I have been wanting to switch to a video camera for ages now! Finally, I broke down and got the Arlo video camera doorbell with wired connection. It was quite easy instructions to follow to install. Video is great quality, it has a 180* degree angle so it can see more than other cameras.

    Great, once installed
    Once it was installed, it works great. Installing was problematic. The screws on the back of the unit could not be loosened manually, you needed to use a cordless screwdriver. I had to call the help desk, there was a rooster crowing throughout the call, really weird. Not super easy to install.

    good product.
    Works well. Battery will need to be charged more often than claimed, but does last a while. Contact arlo as soon as you recieve this to sign up to get the door bell mount mailed to you right away. They have a special web page just for this. Sensitivity of the cameras can be a bit touchy, especially at night next to a busy road.

    I was very disappointed when my electrician opened the doorbell box and found the mounting missing. It was supposed to be attached to the doorbell unit. Arlo customer service assisted me in filing a replacement mounting order. I will review again if I get the mounting in the next 3-4 days. This appears to be a Arlo quality control issue.

    Roger how did you get out you silly cat?
    This video doorbell was EASY to install and was easy to set up with my 2.4 hz wifi. I wasn't crazy about the two options for chime available so I paired my Arlo with my 3 Alexa DOTS and 1 Alexa Echo...where I have lots of options for the chime AND announcement from all the Alexas in my house that there is someone at my door, an animal at my door or a package at my door. Can't ever miss hearing a bell again. I did tweak it after the first few nights because I had it set to also pick up motion....and I was woken at 1 a.m. because of a little bunny rabbit hopping across my porch, and then at 3 a.m. the same morning by a little raccoon. At 5 a.m. Alexa told me an animal was at the door and when I checked out the video on my phone, I saw MY cat, Roger, at the door. MY cat doesn't go out at night - ever. Well, seems my husband got something out of his SUV before bed and forgot to close the garage door, so Roger did indeed go out through the kitty door to the garage. Thanks Arlo. I learned that Arlo recognizes cats and dog sized things as animals but not little bunnies. NOTE that if you want to pair Arlo with Alexa, you have to enable the skill first for Alexa. They don't tell you that. Then Alexa and Arlo just find each other. I've had Arlo installed for a week now and I am very pleased. I researched it before I purchased and it got great reviews.

    Absolutely love video and Audio are crisp and clear you can also zoom.. awesome controls from your cell phone you don’t have to have the cloud.. highly recommend over “Ring”
