Bought the white one too. This one is better.
Peoples, this portable AC is amazing. Came with everything compared to my older Honeywell one from BestBuy. Bought this on rollback online and best investment ever. Summers are no longer humid and ridiculously hot. This made my room an Arctic King. Controlled room at 73-74 degrees. Remote controlled when I am feeling lazy, but I don’t use it much because I like to press the buttons on top. I like how people complained about the noise level, but compared to my older ones, this runs smooth and loud. Just expect the noise, because they are loud and there’s nothing you can do about it. That’s why real air conditioning is outside and this is portable for indoors....with noise. This is the second one I bought from here and I don’t regret it. Stellar performer and size is just right.

Beware of missing parts!!
After carrying the heavy AC and putting effort (with my bad back) to open the AC we realised that window screen was missing !!! Had to again put it all back in package so that FedEx can pickup. That too after 3 days of continuous calling. Pathetic experience.

    500 square feet of cool
    It's loud but it works great. If you have to use a portable instead of a window mount this is a good one. I also like the remote

    So far, so good!
    We have had this guy only a week. However, it works wonderfully! It keeps our living room/dining room/ kitchen area much cooler than the house A/C can keep up with. We love it! It is a good sized unit, so make sure you have the space for it. It does look much better than the white ones, it tends to blend in better to the furniture in our living room.

    Greatest Portable A/C since sliced Bread
    If you have a large house that costs too much to use the A/C. this is the unit for you. It will cool off any room you place it in. We keep it between out kitchen and living where most people hang out, and it is AWESOME. It does need to be near a window, and it about the size of a skinny R2D2. It does create white noise, but nothing loud that makes talking or watching tv unpleasant.

    Wonderful purchase! So happy!
    I was nervous buying these because it was more affordable than other similar options but this air conditioner has worked like a charm for us. We use it in our Fish house (camping season) and it has made life so much better. We've also tried it in our house and it worked very well. The exhaust vent is the easiest I've ever worked with.

    COLD AIR ALL DAY IN ARIZONA!!!!
    COLD AIR!!! I live in Arizona. Everybody on here talking about it cooling down rooms when it's 95 outside. During the summer it's 110 - 120 everyday here! This unit blows cold air all day long. It easily cools my living room and bedroom in my 2 bedroom 1000 sqft apartment. As a note, I think the people experiencing water leaking from it live in heavy humidy areas because I haven't had any leaks at all. Used it all summer this summer. Typical apartment/home AC units use 3000 to 5000 watts. This uses 1280. You'll cut your electric uses down dramatically!! I highly recommend getting this unit. Did really notice the heat from the exhaust tube like some I've read in here. I think some additional insulation couldn't hurt because it does get hot. This is an amazing portable unit!!!

    The air conditioner seems to be doing well and cooling a a space of about 450 sq ft. Noise is not too bad. The box containing the unit was delivered super beat up, but fortunately the unit itself was undamaged. However.... the "Window Sliders A and B"which basically connect to the exhaust hose to vent the hot air out.... were missing. As in not in the box. I called Midea Customer Service per the user manual. The customer service rep was extremely helpful and arranged to send out the missing parts immediately. !

    After contacting the manufacturer I found out critical information regarding the Arctic King Portable A/C unit in that it does not require drainage if you only use the A/C mode. My sole intention was to replace my broken down unit and after 30 days the new unit has provided great comfort and has better efficiency than my former unit. I also opted for the 4 year warranty extension since it was very reasonably priced.

    I have no complaints about this product. It's reliable, does it's job. Every situation is different, but I use these to zone cool my two renters bedrooms in my mobile home and they seem happy. I recommend buying more BTU's than recommended. Less disappointment if the units don't live up to your expectations. Air condition that is inadequate for the space and conditions is just frustrating. Stay cool. That's the point of A/C!
