Great phone for landline during power outages
Excellent phone. With all the radiation and power outages with cordless phones, it is great to have a familiar landline phone with caller ID. So far so good. Just don't like the idea of having to replace the batteries for the caller ID. But the phone works perfectly during outage and the ringer is very loud for elderly and disabled persons.

poor quality...returned item
Overall quality of phone seemed cheesy. Buttons are not backlit. Also agree with previous reviewer about phone not retaining attachment to cradle when wall mounted.

    Basic Phone...Excellent Sound Quality
The phone is a basic corded phone that still allows you to utilize your basic features like caller ID. I repurchased this phone because of the sound quality, which far exceeds any cordless or cell phone.

Phone receives foriegn language radio and unable to talk or hear over the radio signal. Att technician said "oh well . you got a bad One". Waste of money, materials used to make the phone, and disappointing responsility on behalf of att. Sign of the times. unaccoutability.

    Okay with some reservations
The phone is okay, but there are a couple of issues that are annoying with this phone. First, the cradle of the phone is so lightweight that every time you pick up the receiver the base tips over or moves. Second, the number keys are black and the numbers on the keys are kind of dark so if the room is not well lit, you have a hard time seeing what keys you are pressing to dial a number. Third, the window showing the caller ID does not light up, so it's difficult to see who's calling unless you are standing directly over the phone. I sure wish they made telephones like they used to 30 plus years ago. The phones today are so cheaply made. I'd rather spend more on a well made heavier phone than the cheap stuff they are putting out there these days.

Need a corded phone - this is good
I still keep a corded phone in my kitchen - I want to have one that doesn't need electrical power. This one fits that - I wish the caller ID was more easy to see. It doesn't light up - and it's very difficult to see. But the phone works great. And You can change the short cord for a long one - which I do too. Some phones don't have that option.

Caller ID Display does not Illuminate
I purchased this phone on the assumption that the caller ID display illuminated like it shows. I was disappointed to find that it did not live up to its advertisement

Works for backup during power outages
Just needed a basic corded phone with caller ID so I won't miss land line calls if power goes out. This fits that need, and being a Trimline, it doesn't take up much counter space. Had one of these before, and the only issue was that the LCD display faded after 5 years or so, but for this price, 5 years is acceptable.

    Compact Design. Value
I wanted a compact phone with clear call quality along with caller ID built in to use it over the internet. After doing some research online I chose this model, glad I did.

This AT&T phone is very nice
Let's face it....who uses house phones much anymore? But you have to have one in case of an emergency and for your alarm system...right? I purchased this phone for my nightstand, because it works without an electrical outlet, and it works when the electricity goes out unlike cordless phones. Plus all the cordless phones have a bulky ugly answering machine....yuk. I have to say this little phone is nicely styled and doesn't take up much room. The caller ID on the outside of the receiver which is nice. I'm going to get another one. I would definitely recommend this item.
