Not bad...
Overall, pretty good! The only thing I didnt like was the tube attachment from the window to the machine. It's difficult to get the tube to latch on both sides. Once I got everything hooked up, it works really well. Cools my room nicely.

Disappointed
Our friends recommended this unit so we purchased it only to be disappointed. When installing the drain tube to the plug, the plug, just snapped of the machine. The company was contacted for a replacement part, but they said there was no part because it is part of the entire unit and we needed to return it. I couldn't tell you how well it cools, since we didn't even have a chance to turn it on.

Very Good!

I was skeptical about buying this as there were not many reviews about it. But this is great! Within a short period of time it cooled off my bedroom. Somewhat difficult to put together but its definitely worth buying. Plan on getting another one for my living room.

Worth the price!

So my wife and I went to buy this from Payless Daily in person, got it to the house and the set up was a little complicated for us both. We got the thing going and not even 30 min of it being on,our living room feels great! I would say set up is a little hard but this is for sure worth the buy. It has different settings (see pics). We paid $300ish with tax and it is worth every penny!

Great product!

Very quiet and keeps my room cool. I love the option for just fan too. We have a Haier portable and was hoping to get another, but they are no longer available. This is a great alternative!

Never had an air conditioner before. After looking around at options, decided to give this one a try. Was not disappointed. Setup was not too difficult. Cools the area nicely.

Takes some ingenuity

Okay...so...the manual, AGGRAVATING! Do yourself a favor and set up the window part first! Do NOT put the sticky foam on until you are certain it's how you want - that stuff is a bear to get off. I'm using the upper drainage with a bucket and suggest you skip the first step of putting the drainage hose on the bottom, just skip that. It's like the directions are backwards if ya ask me. I ended up pulling a McGyver on the window set up and used a 4.5" piece of the thick Styrofoam in the box to stick in one corner of my 36" wide window. I stuck it on my window frame with some double sided foam tape. Then only used the extension panel on the opposite side so this way the exhaust hose opening isn't stuck right at the corner of my window. I had to use 2 strips of foam along the top of extension so it would be more even as that part sits a bit lower then the piece the hose connects to. I ditched the rain and protective guard so I could keep my screen on. I also didn't use one screw on the window set up either - it stays put once you close your window on it. Make sure you expand each end of the exhaust hose out at least 5 hoops so you can twist it on each end easily. The unit itself works well although a hair on the loud side. I have a 12 x 14 bedroom with bay windows. Even with the A/C on this room stays stuffy and warmer so...thought I'd stop sweating to death by getting this. I like the dehumidify option also being in this humid IL climate. My unit blows pretty chilly even on that 'dry' mode. Be aware, the fan does not shut off/on, it blows continually and the only thing I don't care for but hey, that's how these things works, even window A/C units as far as I know. I like having the remote so I can shut it off when it get to be too much w/out having to get out of bed. I know...how lazy, LOL. Just take your time with the window set up...get that figured out first and the rest is cake. Hope anything I've imparted helps the next person. Cheers!

only for very small rooms

we're having 90° weather, my bedroom is 12 x 14, this air-conditioner cannot keep it cool, and fills a 5 gallon bucket with water every nine hours, if you're cooling a closet this might work, for normal size room forget it, or if the temperatures are only hovering near 83 it works fine

It's too big and clunky for the space we needed. The exhaust connection is not flexible and too long for what we need. We ended up returning it and getting the old fashioned window air conditioner which worked wonders.

Be aware-Wet carpet over first 7h night operating

Our previous air conditioner did not required drain water in cooling mode. But Gree - It drains tons of water, even if it in NOT a dehumidifier mode . All our carpet in bedroom was seriously wet during first night -7hours of Gree operation. First thought was - we did something wrong. Wrong mode, wrong assembly or etc. Nope! Nothing in manual about leakage. Next day we placed unit on top of two plastic boxes , because it drains water not trough drain tube, but from the bottom of unit, or both. We have the drain tube going to a bucket and under unit another bucket that collecting continually dropping water. We tried different cooling options: fan- water still leaking from bottom and sometimes from dranage tube. And on 3 day it was leaking only from the bottom. We have to return it. And it's extremely heavy. We giving only 2 stars because it does look nice and modern, it does cool the air , but you have to watch for leakages the minute it's turn on.
