Great unit so far!
So far, so good! My space is 150sf and this unit does a stellar job of keeping it cool. I've only used it one day though. Fingers-crossed, the unit will hold up and perform for years and years. :)

Junk
Terrible. It worked for a day cooling the room completely. Now I have to return it and I got it at reg price not on rollback price which is frustrating.

    Great purchase!
Its rare for me to purchase a product that exceeds my expectations, but that has occurred in this instance. Great product! It works better than the 10,000 btu window unity that I have, and much quieter. I live in AZ and I dont know how I have survived this long without it! No more swamp coolers, EVER!

    air conditioner worth the price
I have two in my apartment. First one was bought last summer, and I'm glad I got a second for my upstairs bedroom. It's really good for small to mid size rooms, and it helped keep the area cool. The dehumidifier works like a charm. Drawback is that it is noisy but that is too be expected with any type of air conditioner. I got it at a time where it was a great value. Setup was simple enough and helped cool my room quickly enough on a hot day.

    It worth it
I received the item on time. I read all other reviews and thought it gonna be risky move because a lot of them said it doesn't cool down or just simply a fan. When I tried it out and put it to the lowest setting and it push out heck cold air. I give it an hour every night and it alway made my night sweatless.

    Its worth the money !!
Everything works perfect ! It cools the area very fast . The only reason why i gave 4 stars is because in the beginning the AC blinds would open when on

Best unit for the money. PERIOD!
This machine works great so far. Cools well and is somewhat quiet. Best buy out there as I have others that cost much more but are no better. Just buy it.

At least it does cool the rooms.
It does cool, and the dehumidifier and fan work. The deflectors are manual. They must be pulled out to a position to allow the A/C or fan to work. The window slider was about 10 inches too short for my horizontal window. So, I had to modify the slider by adding part of the slider from my previous A/C unit (from Home Depot). I also had to modify my wooden window frame so that the exhaust nozzle would fit, by sanding out a 3/8 inch curve into the frame. It's not very attractive, but it works. It is too necessary in our 47°C/117°F temperatures to return it. So, it will be used as-is. If you order it, be sure that the slider fits your window. 31 inches seems to be the maximum reach of the included slider. If your windows are taller, get a different unit. The remote control includes the swing option not available on my unit. (That is ridiculous). The cool air output from the A/c unit is only blown out through 2/3 of the horizontal space covered by the deflectors.

It works well in a small room.
The device is exactly what it claimed to be. It's a heat-pump based AC unit, dumping hot, humid air outside. What it lacks is an outside air intake, so it relies upon the building having air infiltration. I am tempted to add insulation to the window-hose. Still, it maintains a 250 sf room nicely cool. The dehumidifier feature is because the hot-side evaporates for additional cooling effect the water that condenses on the cold side. If using it purely as a dehumidifier, it's not got to be vented, but it does then need to be drained regularly. Note also: lowest setting is for 70°F. It can be set for °F or °C. The hose positioning will ensure there's room behind it for airflow.
