Great!
I bought this for my granddaughter to use at college and liked it so much I bought one for myself also to replace my 9 year old HP Envy laptop. This is a very nice machine.

Do not buy
This is a very beautiful laptop. Technology-wise it works very well. However, the build is very cheap. After 4 months, one of the hinges broke and there was a cracking sound every time I opened the laptop. The laptop would not close completely and the screen would be crooked. A part of the laptop would pop out. One month later, the other hinge broke. All of the problems stated before became amplified. After contacting HP customer support, they said it would cost $400 to fix. This has happened to many other people. Do not buy this laptop. It is not worth the money.

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/17/2022Buyer Beware! This has been my strictly school laptop for a little over a year. I noticed after a few months the laptop screen was closing crooked and progressively getting worse. Just a few short weeks later there was a crunch and two screws fell out. The cost to fix the laptop is more than it's worth. While this laptop was heavily used for full time online schooling, it was always stored in a case and well cared for. Other reviews give the same experience. I'm now forced to invest in a new laptop as it's a requirement to complete schooling. Worst $700 I've ever spent.Anonymous

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/29/2022Wish it had touchscreenIt's a nice small and sleek computer. I just wish it had touchscreen. That to me would make it the perfect business laptop, at least that's what I use it for. :)Sunni

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/22/2021Fantastic Laptop! This laptop is as described, powerful processor, no standalone graphics, but for the price, you can't ask for better! The laptop is sturdy with its metal chassis. The only improvement I would request is to make it touchscreen as well.Christopher

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser03/18/2021Silver SwordSleek and powerful. HP has a terrific support app. A few to may preloaded programs, but everyone does that. With a very light all metal frame and a beautiful display. I am very happy with the Envy 13.James

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser01/12/2021Great bang for your buckDefinitely worth the money I paid for. I absolutely love that this screen has a 400 nit brightness. I mean most times I don't need to have it that bright, but considering my last laptop was only 300 nits I know this is actually 400 nits. That just means I can get that much more battery life at 50% brightness because the screen is pretty bright already. My old laptop had a 8550u i7 and I can already tell this processor is faster. On day to day tasks maybe you can't tell but once you have to download a file, export a file, load something on youtube, etc you'll see a dramatic difference. Remember folks, the new AMD processors (like the 4700) prolly beat this when it comes to multi core tasks, but if you're doing single core tasks like watching youtube, micrsoft word, and other basic tasks, intel is actually faster. Would definitely recommend this laptop no doubt. Pros 1) Build quality is nice 2) For everyday tasks, the fan usually doesn't come so it's nice and quiet 90% of the time 3) 400 nit screen 4) new 11th gen intel processor is rock solid 5) great battery life 6) has a camera shut off and mic shut off dedicated button for privacy 7) webcam surprisingly is actually pretty good 8) color accurate screen Cons 1) compared to most laptops, max volume is probably 80% to others 2) might have to get used to their keyboard layout 3) fingerprint sensor works 8/10 times 4) wish this came in a 14' screen, the 15' screens all come with a numberpad which I hate so I got the 13', or if they could make a 15' without a numberpad I'd buy that one. I've always taken the approach to buy from Walmart even though Best buy will match. Why have best buy match when Walmart has treated us so well to drive prices down. Why would I buy from a different seller who marks up the prices hoping I'll buy it and then if a can find a different seller who does cheaper you'll match (not beat but match), NO give me your best price upfront, otherwise that's just a bad business model to me.John
