Beautiful unit
Purchased this unit recently, first time EVER purchasing an air conditioner of this type. I always bought window units but was swayed to consider purchasing this and I am so glad I did. It works wonderfully, it is quiet which is a plus being my husband has Alzheimer's disease and enjoys the quiet, it is beautiful, it has performed wonderfully during these early hot humid 90* plus days here in NJ. I would recommend this type of unit to anyone that is looking for a portable unit. I have always been a fan of Frigidaire products and this one has not disappointed.

2 units died after 1 year
Bought two units, both worked first year, but now will not cool. Filters cleaned, etc. but these units die or leak out refrigerant after 1 year of use.
Warning: Do not buy this piece of junk. Only one year warranty, so you are screwed after one year and have a non working AC unit on your hands.

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/16/2021Quietly coolWe purchased this unit in the midst of a heat wave to replace a unit ( not Frigidaire ) that stopped working. Because this unit has double the BTU's of the old one we decided to put it on the first floor to cover the dinning room & living rooms, it does a great job keeping the rooms cool and comfortable. It has a great temperature range and it shuts down when the temp is reached on the thermostat, not to mention super quiet so it doesn't interrupt during shows and family visits. Installation was a breeze especially since this is not the first portable unit we have purchased, directions are clear and registering on line was a snap.DTC COOL

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/04/2021Quite, Cool, and powerful. Pleased !I just love this Unit. It cools of my big living room kitten space within a couple hours. Perfect to get out of all.that summer heat. I will say the window pieces for the vent were broken and I had.to tape them. But air conditioner itself is working as promised. Bought mine like a month ago. So far so.good.MichelleK87

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser05/08/2021Window ConnectionThe AC works great. Only complaint is that the window connection isnt great. Instructions were definitely a little confusing. It seems like for most windows, the plastic extension will need to be cut to match the length of the window. Make sure to have an exacto knife handy.Bradley

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/10/2020Air Conditioning.... What do you want to readSmall and mighty but a bit loud for a bedroom setting. Gets the job done for a bedroom but nothing more then that one room. 10,000 btu rating should of been able to cover must of my 2nd floor, but falls flat at that. Different modes makes it flexible which is nice but at 75+ pounds that Does not make it easy to move around the house if needed. Remote control is a nice touch and it being lighted seems nice. Sleep timer is the best feature and might of been the selling point for this model. That feature is spot on and works great. There is 3 fan settings more that is more or less 3 modes of noise generation as it seems. All in all if we didn't get this on sale for under 300.00 I would not spend the mark asking price. I mean the price we paid was still 50-75 to much for a one room ac. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]Frosty2cold

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/04/2018Good ValueAs mentioned in other reviews, the included materials to vent the portable A/C, mine does not have heat capability, are cumbersome and difficult to use. While I'd like to perform the occasional (power outage=generator) installation without fuss, the only way I've found to work well is with some sturdy tape. Paid extra for the variety that does not leave residue when removed. I've used it three times. When first purchased, I turned it on to make sure it wasn't DOA. Later, I used it with my new generator to ensure the generator provided enough juice. It is now (11/05/2018) running because my central A/C quit. Which brings me to the Use & Care manual. The majority of A/C's drain condensate during use. I presumed this one would, also. Knowing it would be some time before my central A/C was back in operation, and living in Florida, I made a special trip to pick up a leader hose. Only to discover I didn't need to. Even when I tested "Dry" mode (with the hose in place) there is no drainage occurring. Readers should note they are unlikely to need "continuous drainage" unless they live in a rain forest! See pictures: High humidity - check Unit running in dry mode over an hour - check Hose feeding to completely dry bucket - check In summary, Kudos to the design engineers and manufacturer! Not so much to the folks who wrote the manual. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]Hawkeye249
