Pulls hairs when it cuts
I purchased this shaver several years ago and stopped using as I was not happy. Recently dropped and broke another shaver I had been using. Began using the WDF4820 again. It does not cut longer hairs well. Shorter hairs often get pulled or skin feels scrapped or burned after use. To run finger over screen and head of shaver if feels smooth and looks like new. Was not happy before and still unhappy with this shaver.

2.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser04/18/2017Didn't last long..Months back, I purchased the same item in rechargeable form due to hives and allergies from the metal razors in handheld shavers. I read many reviews before purchasing the Remington hypoallergenic rechargeable shaver, and figured I'd give it a try. The shaver was wonderful, sturdy, until the metal razor cover got a knick in it, causing my leg to get scratched up when I would shave. I looked into buying the head replacement piece and saw that it was the same price as buying a new shaver (this item). When I purchased this item, I thought I was purchasing the same rechargeable shaver I had, not realizing until the item came in that this one is battery operated. I gave it a try rather than returning it and thought the item was very good for the price, although not quite as heavy/sturdy as the rechargeable. This shaver doesn't have as much power as the rechargeable shaver, making it take slightly longer to shave. After 3 uses, the batteries that came with the shaver died. I replaced them with new batteries, and now the shaver won't work unless you turn the power button on and squeeze it down while you shave. You definitely get what you pay for, and I would recommend buying the rechargeable shaver over this one (and maybe a few replacement covers). In regards to being hypoallergenic for those of you looking for this reason, both Remington shavers have alleviated my hives for which I am grateful, just wish they lasted longer.JenL19

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser01/19/2016Great for the Price!I don't know why everyone has complained. This was the first electric shaver I have ever tried and I loved it. I NEVER once cut myself..... I could shave out of the shower because its a wet/dry shaver.... it gets close too. the only con is that the foil wore down quick and I don't understand why the parts cost more than buying a whole other shaver???? Anyway mine lasted only a month because I used it like every other day! Still worth the money! I actually never tried it wet. That may be everyone elses problem. ?? 5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser03/24/2013ExcellentThis handy razor provides a great, convenient, and quick shave. Battery operated means that it's great for international travel as I don't have to worry about a power source. Excellent product!Azeri

2.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser03/16/2013Not real effectiveThe Large trim blade doesn't do well due to a guard that prevents it from getting at the longer hairs. This requires many passes and a very particular angle of attack in order for the large trim blade to be effective. Unfortunate design flaw.Garo

2.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser03/03/2013Dissatisfied customerThis razor is not nearly as good as my last Lady Remington, bought at Wamart a few years ago. The edge trimmer barely works for the stray hairs on my chin, and one flat fine screen on top of my old razor was far better than the 2 rounded ones on the new one. I am so unhappy with this razor ,i am thinking of purchasing another make.moggs

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/19/2012DOESN'T WORK UNLESS YOU HAVE HAIRY LEGSdoesn't work for little(short) hair. you have to grow ur hair long enough to shave it. not useful at all. also it is painfull, maybe it will take time to get used to it but i don't think i will be using it, so getting used to itt is out of questionprat

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/19/2012Women's Electric ShaverI am so hoping Women's Electric Shavers are not becoming obselete. I have used an electric shaver for the past 50 years and do not plan to switch. I have paid anywhere from $80 to NOW $10 for a shaver and find this $10 battery operated one to be very satisfactory. Am hoping that it will be durable, but certainly cheap enough that I could afford to buy a new one every year...IF they are still available. For those of us who do not want to invest in LASER hair removal procedures, please continue to make these shavers available.TXRobbie

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser11/29/2012Smooth,Sleek and Sliky...names of the 3 blades!I purchased this product after my other battery operated shaver died! This shaver is a lot bulkier, but with the fantastic performance, one can overlook this feature or adjust to it. The shaver delivers a smooth shave, and I use it dry. I can even skip a day, because no stubbles are visible! A good value for the money and hope it lasts longer than my other shaver! The other one lasted 2 1/2 years.LadyBlue
