Product received with part damaged
I bought this generator a week ago. After removed the unit out of the box and performed an initial inspection all around the machine. I found some damaged areas that may not related to shipping, as I heard many bad experiences from other review when they first open the box to check. I've attached some pictures for your review and hope someone will contact me for replacement part for the Air Cleaner Assembly cover. I don't know how to deal with bent frame and scratches on the bottom frame. I think these are considered minor but needed to be noted. I added oil then gas for a test run. Over all, the generator ran as expected. I would give it a 5 rating but a little disappointed on the quality control.

Very well built, simple to operate, reliable
Highly recommend the WGen3600DFc. A little heavy at 120 lbs. quieter than I expected. Easy to operate.

    Dual fuel 3600 DF
First of all, the remote key fob is worth the price of admission. And why buy the pull start model and purchase the wheels separately when you can add $30 and get this model with the wheels, electric start and remote control?? The 3600 runs about 11 hours per day at 70% load on one tankful. And powers everything in my camper including a 1500 watt heater. Just turn off the heater when you want to use the microwave. I've had mixed results with that and I'm happy to have had the remote control. But the generator runs and runs and runs. It even started up on a 18 degree morning with no trouble at all. And I expect to have this unit for years to come

Electronic start is definitely a plus
After seeing how close hurricane IAN came to my city, I thought I should be better prepared for future hurricanes. So I purchased my first generator

    Great features
I like the fact that this has dual fuel options. It is a bit heavy. Wheels would be nice, but then the price would likely be higher. This generator was very cost friendly.

    Excellent features on WGen3600DF
Excellent price for this dual fuel (Gasoline/Propane) generator. I like the fact that can start generator with a push button electric start. In addition, it came with a remote start device. Here in Florida when we have hurricanes gasoline stations cannot provide gasoline since pumps work with electricity. Propane is always available. This generator is well made and very sturdy. Received the generator in 6 days. I am including a picture of the generator which is on my property. Upon receipt of the generator, the only thing I had to install were two wheels and two floor stands. The process took me about 10 minutes. Then installed the oil which came with the generator, the gasoline and connected the battery connectors which took about 15 minutes. The generator went on very easily. The noise level is a little high but not bad.

Great value, fuel choice and ease of starting.
Very well thought out design, from great looks, to the layout of the outlets and the fuel selector knob. Love the electric start, and the fact it has a plug in battery charger, to keep the on- board battery charged, no more cranking on a rewind cord to start your generator. The size is adequate for my use as primarily an rv A/C power source while camping away from power sources. It is heavy, at 120lbs, I'm going to build some small wheel ramps to load and unload the generator. Bad back.

So far impressed, not run yet.
Just received my WGEN3600DF dual fuel generator. It was very well packaged and it's well built and impressive looking as well. I did not run it yet, snowing out. I put it together in the living room. Wheels are simple to put on, a bolt through the wheel, a washer on the inside With a push pin/spring clip type fastener pushed through the bolt and it's on, about 1 minute per wheel. The rubber feet go on with 2 small bolts with locking caps. I used my impact drill with a socket...less than a minute on each. Everything is tight fitting and well designed. It came with a bottle of oil (10W30 4 stroke small engine). It also came with a screw in funnel to fill the oil without the usual mess. I'm confident given the ratings it will run well and be a great item for camping. I had to upgrade my 2200W max generator, as it won't run the a/c in my new camper. After 3 days of comparing reviews etc, I choose the Westinghouse made in vietnam, because it was RV ready, and it looks very high end. Oh, electric start too, I'm getting too old to be cranking on a rewind. AND it comes with a Fob to start it remotely. It's going to get some looks, and i suspect others we camp with will have some envy, not that that its what i was going for.

    Starts on first pull.
I bought this with the hopes of preparing for a powder outage as well as working and remote areas with power tools. Before I had a chance to prepare and break it in we experienced an outage lasting more than 12 hours. With nothing more to do I unpackaged it followed the pictures on the guide and my house was protected. The oil comes pre-measured with a nice clean funnel. You put in the oil you put in the gas follow the pictograms that are right on the generator and it supplies power. I ran a large french door refrigerator a small basement refrigerator on one outlet other appliances on the remaining outlets. The throttle responded when the sump pump or sewage pump kicked in. It never bogged down it never lost power it never threw a fuse I believe I could put double the load that I have and it would be working swimmingly. Another feature that I noted was the gas tank gauge it was clear to understand and visible from outside my house through a window. The whole apparatus is very well made and seems precision built unlike some models on display in big box stores. I mean even areas that I would deem unnecessary are machined to perfection. Seeing that from the outside I imagine that internal critical components are honed to the same quality. Comes with clear instructions a wrench and a spark plug tool. Again the pre-measured oil was a big help in my situation when an emergency hit before I could comfortably unbox it and tinker with it earlier. We have owned Westinghouse televisions and other appliances but this generator really takes the cake. Not many things can be purchased nowadays and start on a first pool during an actual emergency.

A 30amp RV ready dual fuel generator
I love my Westinghouse generator , I was seeking a 30 amp generator that didn't require gasoline… Bam! I found this fine and dandy beauty at HD online. Easy to follow English instructions I was able to set up in under an hr and has been running my travel trailer for hours off a low tank of propane!

Great Price & Great for 1st Time Generator Buyers
Recently we lost power for over 2 wks & I finally broke down & bought this. I feel this is one of the best investments I've made in a long time, it's ready to go right out of the box, all it needed was oil (included) & gas to get it up & running. The pull cord was so easy even for me to use. I'm dying to hook it up & test it out & I'm hoping the power will go out soon. For those who need to invest in your 1st gene, for a great price, well you can't beat it.

    Portable generator
I bought this to use with our camper and in case of a whole house power outrage. It looks and seems to be very heavy duty and runs good. I was impressed that it came with oil and funnel and spark plug wrenches. The generator was well wrapped with styrofoam as an added layer of protection. The rating status is what swayed my decision to purchase this unit. I hope it holds true. I am well please with the generator for the price. The only down side is it came with no wheels or handle for easy transportation. That will be my next purchase.

Like the remote start / stop
Moved to north coast Massachusetts. Big nor'easter took out power for a couple days. It was a "Heads Up" to be prepared. Being able to run boiler & pumps of our heating system is essential if this happens in winter. Studied needs of boiler/pumps & refrigerator, ie. the essentials. 3.5kW is more than enough. Looked over makes/models, availability and price. For back up power, there is no certainty if/when it will be needed, so this is not a go-overboard investment. Just survival and home protection. What I liked about WGen3600DF: The remote could be real handy, particularly if I put the generator by the shed way out back. Dual fuel a must: I will prefer propane over gas- much less to think about in readiness, maintenance & storage if I go with propane. What concerned me: The manual is not very straight forward compared to other brands. Some of the maintenance gets into "are you a professional mechanic?" (no). Also the detail steps to start and stop are hands-on, yet the convenient FOB clearly is not. Is that a problem? Oil filling had to be done carefully, and I found out it gobbles up about a full quart. Hands on: I ran it up first time today. It worked well. The FOB was pre-paired and operated the generator easily from 40 yards. The generator won my confidence it is ready to step in when we need it. Lucky timing... Electrician is coming this week to overhaul house electrical panel. Good opportunity to wire in a couple extension cord style transfer switches for furnace & refrigerator circuits. When time comes I need this, I don't want to sort thru the manual. So I made a one-page cheat sheet covering Anticipating Use, Start up, Intermittent start & stop (by FOB), Formal shut down. Tie wrapped that to the generator.
