One of the best products available
This is one of the best products available in it's price range. It's available in most big box retailers and comes with lot's of good support. The resin is the key and it's funny to work with as it has a very low viscosity. My best result came after a few tries and making some mistakes along the way.

Doesn't work.
I tried to fix a small chip in my windshield. The chip looks exactly the same as before I started, except that now it has cracks forming. A second attempt wasn't possible because the resin leaked onto the threads of the applicator and locked it together. When I tried to unscrew it, it broke in half.

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/13/2022DON'T DO IT!I would literally give it 0 stars if I could. This product actually made the small chip look worse! I have an 06 GTO with a very small rock chip. I figured that I'd use this product due to 3M's reputation for quality. Boy did they miss the mark on this one! I hope my glass shop can repair what this product did. Should have taken it to them in the first place.06GOAT

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser10/17/2021Resin quality is underpar making it useless. The resin quality is underpar. Useless if you don't have quality resin. When pushing or injecting the resin, hurry up since it will harden up rapidly making the kit obsolete.Jose

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/12/2021Sure fire way to ruin your windshieldIf you are looking for a way to destroy your expensive windshield, look no further. I thought with this being a 3M product it would be good since they usually have quality products. That was not the case with this kit. I followed the directions precisely but my small star is still visible on my window. Really disappointed and I will spend the extra money at the repair shop next time.Doug

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser04/02/2021Caused chip to turn into runBought this the day after a small chip was caused by a rock. I usually buy RainX brand, but thought I would try 3M because of their reputation. Well, I'll never purchase this again. My small chip turned into a 4-5” vertical run on my windshield. It goes up about 3-4 inches and down about 1-2” from the original chip. I came back to read other reviews and found out many people had the same problem with this product. I'm extremely disappointed with this product and will never again purchase another 3M product (unless for some reason they make this right, but don't expect they will). I'll stick to the other brand that has a more stable base (3 suction cups spaced at 120 degrees apart). Also, if you follow written instructions to warm up windshield with defroster, the temperature difference between inside and outside of windshield will be another contributor to chip turning into a crack run. Bad product. Bad instructions.Unknown

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser03/23/2021WorthlessFollowed step by step instructions, I reach the final step and the resin stuck to the plastic film that was supposed to help it cure, thereby ripping it out of my windshield and leaving the crack exactly as it was 30 minutes ago when I started.christopher k

2.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser01/13/2021Turned a chip into an unrepairable crack. After making sure I understood the instructions, I started. After applying it I went inside waited about 30 mins come back out to look at it, it turned my chip into an unrepairable crack because repair companies can't repair it after resin is in the crack... do not buy...michael

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/02/2020Waste of moneyWaste of money. Resin locks up in the threads keeping plunger from going in all the way. It only "repaired" the very center, and most likely won't allow for a better repair now. It's better to stick with the syringe / suction type!David

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser06/21/2019Caused further damage after following instructionsI bought this product to fill a minor chip in my spotless windshield. After reading the instructions, twice, I began the process. I even followed the temperature instructions and direct sunlight instructions to a T! The process was immediately derailed after reading the instructions and understanding I should screw in the resin chamber three full turns after it touches the glass. I meticulously followed this process as I understand stress can cause further damage. After three turns, a two inch horizontal crack appeared in my windshield. An overpriced product I figured would do a great job will now cost hundreds of dollars to replace the entire windshield. I'm extremely disappointed as I generally consider 3m products to be top of the line.Unknown
