Great product, works best if kept at hot temperatures. Dye came out very even, impressive.

    Ummm yeah, no.
I got it to dye my couch pillows. I followed the directions completely And my couch turned PURPLE. I tried to go back and leave it overnight in hopes it darken and added another bottle and nothing seemed to work. I mean it's a cute purple so I gave it 2 stars, but def not what I wanted or matches anything.

    Amazon Take Note!
The dye is great. I've been using it for many years for my business. This review is targeted more toward the service, which was superb! I no sooner had placed the order and it was on my doorstep. It was also professionally packed with great care taken that it would not leak in transit. The competition could really learn some lessons from Walmart order packers and delivery personnel.

    Extremely Happy
I bought lace(looking) valances for every room in my apartment. They were on sale but only had ivory color. I bought this gray dye so my bedroom would have a different color. I followed the directions and they came out absolutely beautiful. I will be buying a couple more colors so every room is different. It is a very simple process and I definitely recommend this dye. I plan on dying old curtains to bring them back to life

    Do not dilute.
If you want the end result to be black do not add water. I used it to dye upholstered chairs that were originally a sun daded lavendar. I painted undiluted dye on with a paint brush, let it dry, then poured boiling water over the chair. Let that sit, vthen rinsed with the hose. I am pleased with the results.

    Depends what you're dying.
Dying is always a little iffy and this is no exception. Worked great on some things, not at all on others. 3 1/2 stars

Dye Rite More is specifically made for synthetic materials and will not work effectively on cotton and other natural Fabrics the dye Rite sites specifically state that as does the bottle it also states that you should be cautious to know that it might not dye the thread that is used to sew synthetic materials if it's used cotton thread

I used this to dye a white Columbia Fleece jacket...it came out almost a burnt orange. I really like the color but it isn't red. Still looks awesome. It even dyed the zipper!

    Poor quality
I found that this product did not live up to its claims. It deposited only a small amount of color to the fabric. I jave used original Rit successfully multiple times, so was disappointed this is of such poor quality.

    Easy to use
I used this to dye a synthetic quilt. I prewashed the quilt, then dyed it in the machine. With polyester you cannot expect a deep color unless you use several bottles of dye. I was able to tint the quilt from a warm brown to a cool light gray.

    IKEA Chair Makeover
I had a stained white IKEA chair and ottoman that I decided to dye. This grey turned out lighter than what I had hoped but turned out O.K.

    Perfect!
With this, I dyed polyester, satin and velvet. Works well! I had a velvet dress which was a bright, garish fuchsia color. I dyed it with this, and it turned out a nice burgundy. Satin works especially well. Light colors or white will turn out a pretty grey color.

    I was very disappointed.
I ordered black because I wanted the garment to be black. After boiling the garment for an hour it came out dark green. I will never use this product again or recommend it to anyone.

    Does what it says.
I used an extra bottle just for good measure. The jeggings I was trying to dye were 55% cotton but the regular didn't work to good. The color was really weak, like I did it in crayona Markers haha. And there is no extra step, like adding salt or vinegar (like the normal Rit) You are paying more because you need a stronger concentration of dye.

    Doesn't work
Followed all directions on Rit Dye website, prewash item, add dish soap to solution, heat water in large porcelain pot on stovetop, test strip etc. Dyed a pair of light grey heathered leggings, in hopes of matching a shirt with darker grey on it. Leggings are 92% polyester, 8% spandex. Well my item is now a blueish color in heathered areas and still doesn't match. It's barley darker then it started out. Don't waste your $. Buy whatever it is your trying to dye. I did manage to dye my countertop, and sink, and clothing I was wearing with spots.

Can't tell color from the bottle front poor design
Can't tell color form the bottle front-poor design For example on the front of this bottle there are at least four shades of red not sure which of the many red shades shown it is supposed to be. Rit Co. should hire new graphic designer to make better , more clear to understand color shade ,front of bottle
