Excellent bike for the money
I love it. Great bike for me. Since I had read in reviews that the bearings were all basically dry, I tore it apart to redo them when I first got it. I found though that there was some grease in all bearings, though I did add more. I have had zero issues with the quality of the brakes and shifting. Everything has functioned flawlessly with one slight exception. The front brake caliper was adjusted slightly to the left causing a slight rub as the disk rotated in the calipers. The caliper was easy enough to adjust, so it now makes no contact and thus no noises or interference at all. The brakes do stop well enough, but not o a dime. The only other noise is the tires themselves. They do have some road noise, but not extreme. Being a big guy at 310 lbs, this is a great source of exercise for me, but there were 2 musts. 1. I installed a better seat. 2. I installed new handlebars with a 5 in rise. Both of which made it SO much more comfortable to ride. I don't plan on doing any actual mountain or trail riding, but on city streets and park trails, this has been great. I would highly recommend this bike for the money.

    Good value, sturdy ride
I've put about 40 miles on the bike so far and it has ridden well. Definitely going to want to upgrade the saddle, makes riding much more comfortable and able to go longer distances. Bike is also very sturdy I go about 6'3 370 and this bike holds me well, the fat tires make a big difference in supporting a larger rider and give a good workout because more effort to pedal than standard tires. For the price can't beat it but will require upgrades over time such as the brakes and shifter but overall I've had no issues with stock ride so far.

Great bike at a reasonable price!
great price on a great bike. This is the base unit all the other color variations are built around. Pkg was well packed, arrived without a single blemish, with all assembly parts and owners manual included. Must have metric allen wrenches and box/openend wrenches. The only glitch in the unit I received was the front brake cable was routed incorrectly. Was able to reroute it by unbolting the front caliper assembly from the forks, correctly routing the cable assembly around the front of the bike and reattaching the caliper to the fork mounts. All of the cable assemblies were properly preset and worked fine. Removing and reattaching the front caliper assembly didn't effect the settings at all. Overall a great bike for a great price. $50 less than the same exact bike at Amazon.

Would definitely recommend and purchase again!
The price was cheaper than anywhere else online or in store, the bike arrived earlier than expected and in excellent condition. This is a great starter bike that can be upgraded, this is not your Mongoose from the 80s and you will want to upgrade the brakes because the ones on it are awful. Over all Im very pleased with the purchase. Just FYI I also purchase a Mongoose Malas, Malas and Hitch and Dolomites are all the same bikes just different color schemes. Happy Riding!!

    Beach Bike
I purchased this bike to ride on the shore of the ocean. It rides on hard, soft, wet sand with no problems. It's heavy and not fast but it goes where I want . I got a more comfortable seat!

    Great bike for the money
A great bike for the money. You just need to do a few things to have a 1000$ big wheel bike for about 300$. Have the bike delivered to a Walmart and assembled. Pick it up and take to a real bike shop. Have them align the wheels/ adjust the brakes and grease all the bearings. Have the twist shifter replaced with a thumb shifter and replace the pedals. I had them put on air caps and a drink holder as well and bingo. 1000$ bike for 300$.

    The perfect starter fat-bike!
The bike comes with disc brakes, 7-speed grip shifters, punch-outs in the rims to help keep the weight down and a seat-post long enough for me to be comfortable (I'm 6'1" tall). You can't beat the under $250 price with that set of features. I ordered the bike on-line and had it shipped to my local WalMart. After receiving the email informing me that the bike can be picked up, I called the store and asked them to assemble it for me (so FREE shipping and FREE assembly). I would highly advise this because you want to make sure the bike shifts correctly and the brakes work correctly. The Ride: Fat-bikes are heavier than road bikes, mountain bikes, and hybrids. The trade-off is a smoother, cushier ride. I'd equate it to hopping into a big ole Cadillac after riding around in a Camaro! It rolls nicely and even allows you to carry a bit of momentum up some off-road hills but is not going to give you nice tight turning ability on single-track with tight switchbacks. Bottom Line: Great bike, great price, great ride!

    Awesome
We ordered this bike online so we had to put it together. Very easy to do since the back tire is already on. Very smooth ride but I suggest buying a larger seat if you want a comfy ride.

    excellent starter fat bike
got this bike online 2 weeks ago. as usual, walmart delivered on time and perfect packaging. i got the single speed mongoose beast already and nicknamed it 'workout cruiser'. this fat tire bike now has 7 speeds. shimano drivetrain needed fine tuning, afterwhich it shifts perfectly. it now rides lighter and easily takes some uphill trails without much strain. the drilled out rims also made the bike lighter. both front and rear disc brakes works perfectly, but at first, you would hear some grinding sound, which is normal, as the disc pads adapt to the metal. its got steel frames so its still heavier than much more expensive fat bikes, but for the price, it is performing well, gets the same compliments from other bikers on the trail, and the fun you get from riding is awesome. this bike is well built. ride safely guys.
