It comes in the form of a capsule, and if its capsule is well-made, there should be no taste! AND as for my HEALTH, I have no way of judging that. I think that an eye doctor is needed for that. By the way, for those who do not know what AREDS acronym stands for, it is 'Age-Related Eye Disease Study'. If there have been studies that legitimately justify the benefits of taking these vitamins then that is terrific. If it is just an endorsement because this group is financed by Bausch Lomb or because of large cash contributors, then the value of taking this formula is questionable.Sam6

It's hard to say if they're keeping my eyes healthy and slowing down the aging process. It is much cheaper than the other brands and contains basically the same ingredients. My pharmacist also confirmed that. As a bonus, last month I noticed Walmart was having a local clearance sale for the 60 caps bottle for one cent (yes, 1 penny per bottle), so I bought their entire stock (21 bottles) for 21 cents!!! Since the latest expiry date on the bottles is May 2018, I have enough for 16 months and was able to give the other 5 bottles to someone from my church suffering also from AMD. My total savings: Over $300.!!!!!!Myky
