***** love this camera
Love my camera!! It can take some amazing photographs. Granted some times it takes bad ones but I believe it's due to the operator not the camera

Poor performance
Not happy with the focus on this camera, bought it for outside use. On a slightly overcast day which should have been perfect for taking pics of cattle in a pasture it was awful. Got everything in focus, take the pic and the focus is totally gone! Had to take multiple shots every time about 1/3 had the focus, but animal had usually moved by then. The batteries did hold up fine and was not using the flash so I am sure that helped, but the loss of focus is causing this to go back to the store. I never had this issue with any other camera.

Not great for outdoor use/can't see screen
Can't see LCD screen in the sunshine. I specifically bought this camera for a research project and also to take photos outside. I live in Arizona where the sun is fairly bright however, I would assume that anywhere that has sunshine would have the same problem. The photos were just OK. The camera is fairly slow. About 8 to 10 seconds between each photo to be ready to take another and I found that cumbersome. Not being able to see the screen outside was definitely a dealbreaker and I returned the camera.

    Waste of Money
Bought this camera in September and only used it a few times, before one day in October in the middle of taking pictures the camera powers down with the lens still out. I've replace the batteries and tried troubleshooting nothing has worked. If you ask me this is a waste of money.

    Amazing camera for beginners!
I absolutely love this camera. My favorite thing is definitely the 40 x zoom. I can take photos from really far away and they come out so clear and crisp, like they would if you were standing up close. The only real downside, in my opinion, is it does not have a wifi or bluetooth feature to transfer your photos. (It does have an sd card slot so photos can be transferred that way. It also can be connected to a computer) It takes beautiful photos and is great for the price. Definitely an amazing camera. if youre thinking of buying it, I say go for it! (Attached photo is an example photo that I took from the camera)

Good camera for the price and a pretty red to
It is a nice camera for the price, the focus button takes a little getting use to because it is more sensitive than my old camera but if you focus then shoot it takes good pictures, it is a little noisy which makes it tricky if you are shooting wildlife but I haven't read the instruction yet so I don't know if I can shut it off. I guess I should read them .

Hope it becomes my best friend.
I do not like the lens cover. It does not fit right. It slides off if you turn the camera up. I need to take to the store to check out. I havent used the camera long enough to know the battery life. Only used a few times. Also have not used video yet. Love the color, love the grip fit and happy it has a strap.

Have not used it much. Took one picture of our cat on my bed for the first use. It turned out pretty good. But after looking the camera over it seems identical to my old Fuji except for the updates in zoom and pixels and the Kodak name on it. But is was $50 cheaper than the Fuji was and the Fuji worked fine so I presume this one will too.

    Great camera for non-professionals!
Works pretty well! It's generally not just a point and shoot camera, it has a good zoom ability and you have to do that half press of the button to allow it to focus the best it can and then fully press to take the picture. My kiddo likes taking pictures with it and she gets about 60/40 (60% good pictures/ 40% blurry). I love the battery situation, I got an SD adapter with 2x 32GB micro SD Cards, makes it super easy to swap out the cards and keep shooting. Great camera for the photographer amateur!

    Don't believe the negativity
I was very nervous about purchasing this camera because of the negative reviews but after giving it a try all I can say is WOW!! I was very surprised at the quality of the pictures. Very clear, very vibrant and super nice. The camera has a 40x zoom and it does take a steady hand when it's zoomed out that far. The thing I noticed from another Kodac camera I had is you push the button halfway down and then the camera focuses on the subject. If you rush past that detail none of the pictures will be in focus. I found the camera very easy to use in all different environments. We went on a very long hike through the 4 Peaks mountain range where we had panoramic veiws of Rossevelt Lake on 1 side and the Superstition mountains on the other. The camera preformed flawlessly. Except those times when I was zoomed all the way out, the camera takes awhile to actually focus, the picture taking was effortless and enjoyable! 1 thing, the lens cap does not stay on but a small piece of tape fixed that! I would recommend this camera to any one who is looking for something that costs a little less but preforms like a higher priced camera. As for the batteries, I like the fact that they are NOT rechargable. I will never find myself unable to take pictures because my batteries aren't charged. Just put in 4 new batteries and off we go. It's not THAT big of a deal to carry extras in the case that I have for it. I have not noticed the camera being a huge battery hog. I've taken about 200 pictures and still have yet to change from the batteries that came as start up batteries. I am very satisfied with my purchase and I bought the sd card at the same time. The camera discription clearly states what card will work and what will not work. Buy the correct card and there should be no problems. I am very glad that I didn't let the negative reveiws push me in another camera dirrection. This camera is way better than I thought it would be because of those reveiws. I expect many years of use from this camera just like I had from my last Kodac camera. Great product, great price and completely satisfied with my purchase of this AMAZING little gem.

    pleased with my purchase.
I wanted to get a camera to start a hobby of photography like I did as a teen. It's a daunting task to find, read/watch reviews and pick one. this was more than i wanted to spend in general especially after accessories. I saw my nearest Walmart carried this so I went to look hoping to hold which didnt happen but after seeing a few photos especially of the moon from someone with this camera I took the dive. with little experience and just out the box settings im pleased so far. i will include some photos of the moon i took. im sure once i read the manual and set up the quality will be even better. i bought 2 sets of rechargable AA batteries for this and they work no issue. the memory card didn't need formatted it worked right away. I feel better about spending what I did and I'm sure I will get plenty of enjoyment using this for the things I have planned.

Unbelievable bang for the buck - Extreme bargain!
Incredible bang for the buck! I got this on sale during the christmas sale for only $99. I've had this for about 19 months and I have taken 5,200 pictures. So worth it! I take pictures of wildlife around the house mostly, and things I need for business secondly. The reason why I came back to the site is because I am thinking of buying a second one and wondered how much they are going for and if they are still for sale--that is how much I love this camera. There is only one feature that I wish it had, and that would be a viewfinder, but I blame society for that and not the manufacturer (people would rather have a larger screen and that screen takes up the place a view finder would have been). Polaroid also licenses its name to manufacturers as Kodak does with this camera, but in this case, Kodak licensed its name to a much better manufacturer than what Polaroid did.

Let's start this review off from the beginning. My wife's current camera quit working. So for her upcoming visit to our grandkids I got her this one as a gift for her trip. This Kodak is the same style as the Cannon model but a lot less, and performs the same functions. The photos I've attached show you how I received this one seeing that I ordered it online. (Just noticed I can only add two photos, sorry) First it comes in a plain box so you can't tell what's in it. Great if you have an overly curious spouse. You'll see a pic of the actual Kodak camera box the contents are packaged very secure. The only thing you'll need to buy is a camera case if you don't have one already. Walmart has a lot of options with nice cases priced between $10-$20. Hope you like the pics. I'll try to update this review after Christmas when she gets it and again after her trip when she had used it. As far as the looks and feel go, I really like this camera.
