Beginner Sewer
I'm a first time sewer and thought it was going to be very challenging, but this machine is so easy to use! It's had no problem doing the denim and sequin projects I've been working on. It has a ton of power, I've only used it at about half power and that is PLENTY.

    LOVE IT!!!!!
LOVE this machine! No computers, no learning curve from the Singer I had previously that lasted me 30 years. Works like a charm - sews evenly. Has plenty of stitches for various uses. I sew clothing and household dec and am starting to learn to quilt. I inherited a Bernina sewing/embroidery machine that I stored for 2 years; then my old Singer died so I decided to try it out; it was so difficult to learn to use and expensive to maintain that I decided to find a manual Singer, and am SO glad I did! Can't recommend this machine highly enough!

A great little machine. Sews like a dream!
I have 3 other machines all very expensive. This one is simple and for straight up sewing this is the best. Just open the box, plug it in and sew!! It is well made and heavy duty. Snap on presser feet that are inexpensive work great. Very happy with it is machine!!

    What a great machine
I needed to replace my very old Singer and chose this model because I was interested in a straight forward machine that wasn't computerized. I am an experienced sewer but usually only create basic projects. This machine exceeded my expectations. First, it's SO light weight compared to my old machine. It's also very quiet compared to my old machine. It has all the features I'm looking for and is super easy and simple to use. My first project was making masks. This machine whipped through the heavy, multiple layers of fabric. What a delight to use. Next project is a t-shirt quilt for my daughter to take to college...as soon as supplies become more plentiful

    Just what she wanted!
My daughter had been using the same Singer machine I used to make some of her baby clothes. It was at least 30 years old. It worked but had seen better days. Since my daughter was making masks for anyone who needed them, I decided it was time to invest in something more reliable. Singer was reliable before so I did my research and this model seemed like the heavy duty we were looking for. So far, my daughter made many more masks and pieced a quilt she had started a decade ago. Not one problem! It's a work horse! So happy with our purchase!

    Love this sewing machine!
Absolutely love my new singer seeing machine. I almost broke my Baby lock trying to sew canvas. Then I researched and found out I needed a heavy duty machine. This one is great! Watching online tutorials of bobbin winding and threading the machine are the best. The user manual is not very helpful. I followed the two online videos and it sews so beautifully I almost cried. Came faster than I expected with the whole Corona virus thing. Goes through multiple layers of canvas and bias tape like butter. I was able to sew an entire canvas hanging bag for my laundry in a couple of hours. Love love love the fast stitching speed. It was worth every penny and the best price on the web.

Ecellent as i recommended this sewing machine
It works perfectly for denim you just need to drop the bottom that helps move your sewing material along. I just took it out of the box, threaded my bobbin, then threaded the top thread and success. I've finish a child's blanket. Patched the Levi Jean bag for my sister. Works fabulous. Of course I adjusted the thread to the space I desired. ×Note keep a cloth under your need when you either put away or move it. Keep needle down on the cloth you sew on to check the correct sewing. Thank you for the speedy delivery.

Fast, powerful, smooth with heavy fabrics
“I am posting this review as part of my entry in Walmart's Holiday Sewing Contest.” PROS: Very fast sewing and easy handling of heavy fabrics! This machine is easy to understand if you have minimal sewing experience. It moves faster than almost any machine I have used over my 40 years of sewing, yet it is able to easily adjust the speed with the foot pedal. I needed to fix a purse made of heavy man-made material. It handled this material very well, with no thread bunching or snapping, or needle breakage, as I have had with other machines. The free arm easily allowed me to access an arm hole, a shirt cuff and the inside of a purse. It is easy to sew buttonholes, with easy attachment of the buttonhole foot. Your button fits into the buttonhole foot, thus size accuracy is guaranteed. In addition, it was easy to sew on a button with the provided foot. I was happy to see that most parts are metal, which in my experience means: more durable! The bobbin cover is plastic, which is actually good, since you are readily able to see how much thread remains on the bobbin. Filling a bobbin is super fast, and very easy. There is an automatic needle threader, which I found easy to use after practicing several times. I have been sewing for over 40 years, including an art business with fabric artwork. Last month my old machine quit, so I searched for a STRONG, FAST machine. At least fifteen sewing projects later, I am very happy with this machine! CONS: I have rated this machine with four stars, rather than 5 for some MINOR reasons. The machine noise level is higher than most machines I have used, which could be expected because of the fast speed and heavy duty handling. The stitch selector must be switched to go from straight to zigzag, which on most other machines I have used was accomplished by simply changing the stitch width. The buttonholes are great, except that it was difficult to figure out how to raise the buttonhole "lever" after I finished sewing these. The manual did not explain this very well. About the manual, the basics are well-explained. However, more detail should be provided in some areas, which I found even as a very experienced sewer. The hand wheel, which is used to raise the needle before cutting threads, is a bit "stiffer" to use than on other machines I have used. I had been using the machine for a few weeks before I realized that the accessories included a vertical spool pin to be attached on top of the machine, which for me is much easier than the horizontal pin. These are all MINOR ISSUES, with overall very good results!
