Great Deal. Results in 6 weeks!
It was an interesting journey since I bought the test at a GREAT price and getting the results 6 weeks later. I checked how this ancestry test ranked HIGH among other for price, privacy issues ( you give or deny consent for the use of the information) great for Hispanics looking for descents of Spain! Also find the higher tendencies to medical issues VERY accurate. The personal traits maybe a little off but still great information. You actually start an organic relation with the company since they add more results and make them available to you. Great present to anyone of ANY AGE who wants to open the an array of magical information. Please do it. Great for anyone who wants to affirm their personal human identity .

Buy a different brand.
I decided to get this for myself for Christmas. I purchased another name brand product for my dad as well. I was much more impressed with his report and database. He got 100 family hits on day one. I have none. Several of the health, personality, etc were just a joke. I tried to return it right after purchase after researching more and finding out the database was junk but they assured me it has a very large database and comparable to top names. Not at all. Don't waste your money.

    Ancestry results are worthless
    Ancestry details are worthless. General info that covers the origins of the European human race. I was hoping to learn when my ancestors immigrated to the US and which region of England they emigrated from before coming to the American colonies. Attached are pics of all the ancestry info they provided me.

    Overall very pleased
    Nice! While the results told me what I already knew, there was a few surprising facts. Some things (in health /wellness) were too technical and I didn't understand them at all. Ancestry results were general and not quite as specific as I expected. I know half of my family came from Ireland but results stated England, Scotland and Ireland (58%). Results came back quicker than expected/promised. Overall I'm pleased with everything.

    Do it, You are worth this small investment.
    I don't know why this isn't standard for everyone to have a base understanding of their genetics. I guess eventually we will get there but for now tellmegen is a small investment that can make a huge impact in your life and wellbeing. Very informative and comprehensive, much more information then the other ones and at reasonable price. Im still unpacking all the data but its certainly going to help me in life and make better health choices.

    misunderstanding or misinformed?
    I was under the impression the nutritional report and pharmaceutical compatibility was included with the advanced test. apparently not and each cost an additional $99. I'm glad I didnt spend full price to not be surprised of my European decent and that I may or may not have many genetic diseases.

    Not worth it.
    Finally after several weeks awaiting my results, I received my email telling me they were ready. O opened my account and it showed my ancestry as..................... European. Wow. I knew that from looking at the mirror since I was 5. It doesn't get any more specific than that. So if you want to know where your people are from, you can get it from the mirror and save plenty of money.

    never got it
    bought it as a late Christmas gift on 12/21 and been waiting on it to ship out, it hasn't, contacted customer service and they said it was confirmed lost in shipment. told me to refund and rebuy not honoring the original sale. refused to resend it to me. gave me a credit. will rebuy and update as ot arrives
