Because it's not a full-size platform, it's not as stable as I would like it to be. But it's OK for a home workout. Not as stable as the gym version, but small enough and doesn't take up much room. It's a good compromise.

    Nice stable stepper.
    It could be a bit shorter. Sticks out too far when you have it in front of something for balancing. Instead of 25 inches, could be 20-21. I really like it, but it would be much easier for moving if the risers would snap in. I have tried to move it with my foot about 3 inches and the top detaches from the risers.

    Does what is expected and gets my heart pumping
    Hate to exercise, but cardiologist loves my numbers so I use these step ups for a good zoom workout.

    Great stepper with height adjustment
    I read many, many reviews and decided on this one. This is a great stepper. I bought 3 so the family can work out together and the teenagers are enjoying using it. The base is very low but good for anyone with balancing concerns, knee problems, or a true beginner. The 2nd and 3rd inserts give it sufficient height for a great workout and intensity. The inserts take a few minutes to set into the grooves just right. Since it's plastic on plastic, the inserts move around until they sit firmly on the grooves. Once it's on the groove, it is very stable. If I wanted to quickly change the intensity during a workout, I would probably spend a couple of minutes trying to get it just right and I would probably feel frustrated. But knowing this ahead of time, I would just plan my workout accordingly. The length and width were perfect for me. My teens have large feet (size 11) and they were perfectly fine on it as well. I tried it on both the rug and wood floors and it did not budge. I am very satisfied with this product and the price was just right.
