Delicious!
I have been a big fan of Wild Planet sardines in water with sea salt for many years, eating one, sometimes two cans a day. I was looking for a replacement for the salty, brown, oily anchovies I was getting from my local grocery store. I discovered Wild Planet anchovies in water and let me tell you, these are absolutely delicious! The packaging, size, taste and quality are what you would expect from Wild Planet. Not at all oily, brown or fishy tasting. Very similar to the brand's sardines. No more jarred anchovies for me! It'll be Wild Planet anchovies from now on!

Not really fit for human consumption
This tasted like pond water or ditch water. The "water" was dark grey. There was a strong dirt like taste and aroma. I have eaten canned fish for years, from all over the world. This was one of the worst.

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser10/20/2021White sardines not anchoviesThese are NOT like real white anchovies you might be thinking of. They are large white sardines which are completely different from what I have been buying as a chef for over 30 years. They are not bad, just maybe not what you are looking for.robert

1.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/28/2021Not a fan! I do not recommend.I was so excited to try this product. However, these did not look like, smell like, nor taste like anchovies. There was very little flavor. After trying three bites, I threw them away. I'm not sure what kind of fish this is, but it is not anchovies.Jill
