4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser09/09/2020Good unit for the price.Pros: * works out of the box * adaptable window connector * easy to install (won't fall out the window) * remote control Cons: * a little noisy * big All in all, this is a great appliance for the price. It takes up a bit of floor space and needs some clearance on the back and front for airflow. The exhaust tube is bulky and takes up a little more space. The trade-off is that you can use it with almost any window, and you don't have to put the A/C itself in the window. It takes up more space this way, but it's MUCH MUCH easier to install. It will also work on small or horizontally-sliding windows. The window adapter doesn't seal well on it's own, but it comes with a collection of foam strips and adhesive to plug the gaps. So far it cools a 250 sq ft room just fine in 95 deg weather. It's a little loud, but that's going to be true of any inexpensive AC.John

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser09/01/2020Worth it.For the price it works great. It gets really hot in my 500 square feet condo. We put it in the living room and the bedroom and have no problems cooling the areas. Easy set up and portable. We paid $355 total for it and it was definitely worth it. It was a fair price because portable AC's are very expensive.Consumer

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/31/2020One big design flawThis AC cools reasonably well when it is set low and running full steam, however once it starts to cycle it continues to suck cool air out of the room even with no compressor running, very efficiently bringing the room back up to outside temperatures withing minutes (it exhausts with the efficiency of 2 or 3 simultaneous bathroom fans). So run it full or shut it down -it is extremely inefficient when "cycling". Its a design flaw and an easy fix - fan blowing air out the window should cycle off when compressor does. But that's not what happens. Too bad. Must be attended to or window units or better yet split systems are better way to go.Brian

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/29/2018Perfect!We bought this unit for our cottage. Our adult children each have their own room, and only one visits at a time. So this unit can roll from one room to the other, wherever it's needed. This summer has been a scorcher, and they are so happy to finally have AC. It is easy to hook up to the window, and can store in a closet when not in use. It really works well. We are extremely pleased with our purchase.Daphnee08

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser07/12/2018Great little portable AC with small footprint! This unit easily cools and dries a 13x11 bedroom. You can attach a hose to the rear, located midway up the back side so that gravity works in your favor. However, I had to buy the hose to attach separately, as it did not arrive in the box. It is also relatively quiet compared to the very loud 8000 BTU system ( (ARC-08WB) that I bought last year, and which is almost useless.NancyT
