It's super
This is the best little barbecue I have ever had although it's compact you can cook quite a few things on it . It seers nicely and Cooks evenly . It is also pretty easy to clean an empty drip tray . Took maybe five minutes to put together .

Lots of research and a bit disappointed
I consider Weber to be a top name brand of quality, however after receiving the product I am significantly disappointed. The burner doesn't seem to be get hot enough to cook a steak, I realized the BTU is less than other table top BBQ, but I wanted to stay with the smaller green bottles. The grills on top of the burner appear more solid than grill bars - meaning there is a lot of area taken up by a solid piece versus the good old length wise bars. This restricts heat coming up, but overall it still cooks vegetables, hot dogs and burgers. But anything requiring more heat - you will be disappointed. Additionally the lid opens up too far, meaning as you lift the lid your arm goes directly over the grill, all the heat goes directly to your arm. That is inevitable but what is unique about this grill that I dislike it it opens up very far so it goes well beyond the safety point - and even with that the quality of hinges although very simple - are really not what I consider quality. Overall I appreciate the grill, but for Weber and the Price - I think you will find a lower cost grill that will offer the same if not better experience. It is also a little on the heavy side so be sure to consider this when comparison shopping.

    Couldn't be happier with this easy to operate gas grill by Weber! Has its own stand and I got a small cover to keep it dry in rainy weather. So easy to operate and to clean.

    16+ years with the Q!
    Love the 1000. I bought the 2000 about 16 years ago when the first generation came out. You cannot beat a cast iron grate for grilling. I bought the 1/2 grate griddle plate accessory for my rv.

    The perfect grill that fits!
    I was shopping for a grill to take on the road and had limited space in my RV. The Q1000 fit the bill. The only downside is that Weber didn't include a thermometer with this model, but I found a YouTube video for installing my own and not it is perfect.

    Weber portable grill
    Probably the best gas grill I've ever owned! Easy to cook on, and perfect temperatures each time we cook with the gas regulator used. Cooking surface is easy to clean, and large enough for cooking with guests.

    I inherited my first Weber Q grill when I bought my retirement home in Florida. I'm not sure how old it was but I'd guess at least 20 years. It was the perfect size. I've owned larger grills over the years that rusted out after 4 or 5 years. I have the optional stand and adapter to use a 20 lb propane tank.

    Propane source????
    The Product did not specify what type of gas source that it would use (propane canister, propane bottle, propane tank)....Fortunately I was able to find an adapter that would fit both the grill and do the fuel source. Flame is not very strong. Grill itself is quite sturdy and seems will last a long time. Well thought out in the design. Additionally I had the grill sent to the local Wal Mart. They were surprised when it showed up telling me that I should not have done that. When I ordered the item I contacted the local Walmart who told me to go ahead and use the address of the Wal Mart store which later caught them by surprise. Nonetheless I got it at the local Wal Mart.

    Best Grill Ever
    We love our new Weber grill....so light weight and versatile .....it grills evenly and so easy to transport to the beach....steaks, chicken, burgers....it all taste great on our new grill and clean up is the best.....best summer purchase we ever made!!!
