Walmart had this in stock to deliver for NYC COVID
It is a little small. It does what it is supposed to do. It has the same temperature as my other thermometer The Wirecutter rated this best. I live in NYC, Queens the epicenter of COVID. We were all taking our temperature everyday. Walmart was able to deliver this at the beginning of COVID. Everyone else was out of stock.

MFr. replaced because not working.
Came in a tightly sealed box, but didnt work. Called Kaz and they immediately sent me a replacement. But they have another with lifetime warranty, this is 1 year. I have read lots of bad reviews about the new fast thermometers. The Vicks I had before is discontinued and its battery has lasted for several years. Cant get it anywhere. Sold out on eBay.

    Poor service in terms of delivery time
    I like the thermometer...easy to read and easy to use, especially when you aren't feeling well. My one star review is because it was advertised as one day delivery and I bought it to be sent to my daughter who had tested positive for Covid. It didn't arrive for 5 days, after she was through the fever.

    i order this item because i needed it in a pinch. opened the package and the item didnt work. went to the store purchased the battery the item still didnt work. i got lucky and walmart did an exchange for me. i did write to the vicks company. apparently this model has had issues like this before.

    Dangerously inaccurate
    This thermometer does not read accurately. My kids had fevers and couldn't get a reading above 79 degrees!

    Goes off too quickly.
    Never worked. As soon and I used it I could tell it was defective. As soon as I put it in my mouth is goes off. Like in a second. Very ineffective.

    I'm not thrilled with the design and extra features (fever insight technology.) I don't need the thermometer to flash red or green or yellow. I just need to be able to read the digital readout. It was hard to read the numbers depending on what color it was flashing. I also could barely hear the beeps telling you it had reached the terminal reading. When you pull it out of your mouth it went dark and I couldn't read the numbers. Maybe I need to practice more, but I felt like I was in a race to pull it out at the right time so it was displaying the right background color (green, yellow, or red) that would let me read the temperature. It does its job, but I found it confusing and a bit aggravating. I'm not old, it's just the extra technology doesn't seem to be helpful in this case. Also, the stem was too short for my liking.

    I love how fast it is and the fact it tells you by color as well as exact reading. Only think I do not like is if you spray the tip with alcohol and you get it on the face the alcohol with fog the face forever as far as I can tell. I tried to clear it up but finally just bought another.
