Great Humidifier
I have always used Vicks for my brand of humidifiers. This 1 gallon cool mist model is perfect for any size room. I've been using it in my living room to give it a little more moisture in the air when I'm working during the day. This is also the perfect size to put in a babies room and know that the coolmist will work perfectly and not get too hot for the touch. I love that it is filter free so you don't have to worry about buying any replacement filters. There's a dial on the front to control how much of a missed you want to come out of the top for the flow. The tank is very easy to fill and also to clean out it's wide enough to get your hands in. There is a little drawer on the side that you can use to put a Vicks vapor pad in it although I prefer not to use that feature of it. This is a great small portable size to be able to move from room to room wherever you need it!

Gross and used.
The humidifier came to me clearly used. It was not in plastic when I opened the box. It was dirty, gross, and clearly returned. Very disappointed this item was not properly looked at when it was returned.

    Just Right!
    This humidifier is the perfect size for anyone looking to outfit a bedroom with one. It is light and easily sits on a nightstand or dresser surface. It holds a full gallon of water which lasts multiple nights on a medium to low setting and I love the ability to add the Vick's tabs to it for the added benefit that Vick's Vapors provide when your under the weather. I do wish though that they'd provide more than one tab in the initial box because there is a slot for two in the machine. The unit works great and is pretty quiet. I also love that it is much easier to clean then our old humidifier, since it has a larger opening. This has replaced our old one and we aren't going back.

    The Vick's Cool Mist Humidifier has a visible mist that provides temporary relief from cough and congestion. Using a humidifier can help ease dry air discomforts, helping you to breathe better and sleep more comfortably. A unique feature only found in Vicks Humidifiers is a scent pad door to accept Vicks Vapo Pads for added comfort. It's easy to clean with a wide tank opening and a removable mist nozzle. I would recommend this product to any that has problems with cough and cold and especially sinus congestion. Helps open up your sinuses so you can breathe better.

    Cool mist all the way
    I recently switched from a warm mist humidifier to a cool mist humidifier and I've noticed a huge difference. My child has bad allergies that triggers asthma and it gets really bad. The doctor told us to try a cool mist and so we did and it works for us so much better. I love that there's no filter, it's quiet, small and compact for the room it's in. Great decision on our part.

    The Vicks FilterFree Cool Mist Humidifier works great, It provides temporary relief from cough and congestion and helps you breathe and sleep more comfortably. It has no filters, is whispering quiet, easy to feel and clean and has a auto shut off. It comes with a Soothing menthol vapors dual Vicks vapopad sample. The vapopad last for up to 8 hours the vapopads Are not recommended for infants under 10 pounds and not using more than 2 in a 24 hour period with children between 10-22 pounds, The pads contain eucalyptus and cedar leaf oil and others so if you have an allergy to these use the humidifier without them. You can run the humidifier for up to 36 hours at a time. This version is designed for a medium room size and holds 1 gallon of water in the tank , the medium room size is 400 square feet. It has been designed to hold and use a demineralization cartridge and hard water areas. The water holding tank has a wide mouth for easy cleaning and filling. The humidifier keeps Rooms in the comfort zone between 40-60 percent humidity. This is great if you get congestion and helps you sleep.

    Avoid this product. Buy something else.
    Most of the positive reviews are likely astroturfed. I'm having the same issue as all the negative reviews. Water overflows all over my furniture. The water vapor stops emanating from the spout. It worked fine for one day, now it randomly stops working after a few minutes. I thought the negative experience people were having was just bad luck receiving a faulty unit. Don't take a chance, they're likely all problematic.

    Broke after one use
    Literal garbage. It stopped working after one night. It will only work if I hold the water reservoir about 1/4" off the base. This also goes to show you that Consumer Report simply isn't a trustworthy source.

    Good Value - Not Recommended for Light Sleepers
    This humidifier has pros and cons. Pros: being able to use the vapor tab inserts, especially if you are sick or congested - it provides a nice aroma in the room. It also diffuses mist longer than other humidifiers, which is great as it can be turned on in the early evening hours and sustain itself until late morning. Cons: it is quite noisy, especially when the water level seems to adjust throughout the night. The first night, I thought someone was knocking at my door as the noise was significant enough to disrupt my sleep. The diffuser tabs could be stronger as I found I needed to use two, instead of one as recommended. Overall, for the price and longevity, it is a good buy (as long as you are not a light sleeper!)

    Fantastic Humidifier!
    I like the design of this humidifier. It's simple and that is what I wanted- a simple humidifier that wasn't digital. This has a knob that you turn to turn it on and adjust the level of mist output. Cleaning is easy. I just put white vinegar on a paper towel and wipe all surfaces. The top where you add water comes off easily and seals extremely well! It's no trouble and it fits into its place with no hassle. I am well pleased. It works like a charm!
