The best Educational toy
Not only is it a great educational toy but it's also very sturdy. It has a lot of options to learn from and also has games for kids. Very user friendly. It's compact and light weight.

check the batteries
got this item for my niece and it didn't work when I looked at the battery box it was all corroded and yucky looking the item was totally destroyed and it came from Walmart how odd they don't take care of the toys when they ship.

    My son loves the message feature.
    I got this for my sons 4th birthday and he loves it. I love it for the teaching aspect of course. It has quite a few little learning games that my son needed a lot of help with at first. But as time as gone on it has really helped him master his letter names and he has gotten much better at the games on his own. Even just pressing the buttons and hearing the letter has been a big help for him. He really likes to just use it as a play phone. He loves that it knows his name and that he gets “messages” on it! He also likes the music button a lot

    Good for a preschooler going into kindergarten.
    Vtech produces a lot of educational toys and knows how to make learning simple for little ones. This Text and Go learning phone is intended for early learners. It has a number of activities that build on pattern recognition, memorization and repetition. The layout of the device is intuitive. My 5-year-old started to use it right out of the box (actually before I removed it.) She is in preschool so she was able to understand most of the games with little to no instruction. You are able to personalize the device with their name but it will only display the name and not say it. For example, when you turn on the device it says “Hi Friend” but displays “Hi (name)”. The settings also give you a few controls over music, volume and display brightness. This screen is a basic LCD with low resolution. It is able to reproduce two tone images and is not backlit. She did get frustrated a few times because one of the games required her to push the button of the displayed letter before it moves off the screen. This game was a little too fast for her and she had difficulty understanding that her speed would increase as she got more familiar with the letter order. The case seems durable and it is a manageable size. Overall, it is a nice add on piece for our educational toys and something that would be good to pass on once we outgrow it.

    VTech has best products especially text and go
    This is a great learning tool for a lot of things for kids. They see their parents on phones and tablets so they are curious so this helps them because it's more common which makes them more curious. They learn so much with this product and so much for kids to explore, and we all know kids love that. I'm truly a big fan of all their products but , they love doing what we do and this is just the same but in kid version. They can learn so much with it. I truly recommend this to teach and learn a lot from and also be something they play on for hours. If mine can spend so much time from it I definitely recommend it.

    Great learning toy phone
    This learning phone is very good toy to teach kids basic of alphabet, phonics, how to type words and select right letters for the words. My son was very interested in this learning phone, he enjoyed learning in simple play mode. This toys help develop interest in reading and writing , and give kids more confidence.

    OMG! my almost 4 years LOVES this thing! I cannot believe how long she can play for that looooong! For over 30 mins, it is huge for us! It has learning games, but also has one " missing the acorn". She really loves this leaning phone! She thought she is a big person to have her own phone!!!!!

    Better for older kids. will help with vocabulary and spelling. Gift for 5 year old can be used by 6 - 7 year olds.
