South Texas rural Health Services resides na South Texas area covering Encinal Devine Eagle Pass and several cities in between the data center is located in Cotulla Texas recently I had just installed our new Tripp Lite device and unannounced the electric company AEP decided to shut down power for a 20 block area or businesses and homes are located this unannounced breakdown did cause some concern but the entire network remained up and functional and operational for those that had additional personal backup power supplies installed on their workstations great job Save the Day power was back up an hour later but we continued to work thanks again

Owned several of these over the years
Model has changed, the sourced cooling fan is way to loud. Support says there's nothing they can do about it. They are satisfied with unit's performance because "it still works", remedy proposed, "return it to your retailer if you can't overcome noise level".

It has plenty of backup time to allow for saving of your work and normal shutdown. If you want to set it up, there is even software (linked to your PC via USB) that will automatically shut down your computer in the event of power outage. Older model displays could not be dimmed, but the later model can be dimmed. I like that feature. I also use a smaller version of this for my DVR and TV. Whenever the batteries need changing, they are standard 12v 9ah available at most electronics stores.Gary

I use both for my saltwater fish tanks, some might say over kill, but when you spend a lot of $$$$ on fish and coral, you want some insurance. If I get another big tank, I will own 3 of these.Kenneth

With a CCTV NVR, Yamaha RX-A2080 Receiver, Tivo, CD player, Bluray player, Lan Switch, Cable Modem, and wireless router it kept them all functioning for almost 1/2 hr.Kent

We have several 1-2 minutes outages per month which really interrupts activity. We recently did a full functional test running all the equipment on backup power. We had calculated that the supply would last 20 minutes. The ProSmart lasted 31 minutes, which exceeded our expectations. Well done!Michael

I like the fact that it is rack mountable, although I have not done that yet as I need to reconfigure my wiring so as to use this feature. The display screen is a little overkill, but a a good feature overall.Dave
