Straighttalk Wireless - The Best!!
I have been using Straighttalk wireless for over ten years now and will never look back. The $45 dollar unlimited talk, text, and data can not be beat. I also live in a rural area and have never had any issues with service. Normally I purchased the twelve month card for $495 and don't have to worry about a purchasing a phone card every month because the minutes will automatically be added every month on the due date.

Very poor service
I renewed my straight talk plan today. They even took the money out of my checking. Them they email me they cancel my order. They said unusual acount activity. They said you can reorder but they already got my money. Guess I will close my phone plan with Walmart.

    I have placed an order for Straight Talk refill three times just to be canceled five minutes later every time. First off all, when I tried to login today it wanted to send a code to my previous phone number, which I no longer have. It didn't give a choice to send to my email or any other way to log in. I called customer service to see if they could update my new number in my account, he told me there's no way for them to update it due to security. Then he told me I would have to create a new account because I no longer have that phone number! I've never heard of anyone not being able to just simply change the phone number in the account profile. So, I create a new account with my new phone number and different email address. I add my debit card and a $50 Walmart gift card to the wallet and place my order for the Straight talk refill. I received email confirmation that the order was successful with the confirmation number. Perfect! Well, three minutes later I receive a text saying the order has been canceled due to unusual account activity. Hmm, ok, so I go to my email and open the new canceled order message, it says it was flagged by the credit and fraud team. There's absolutely no reason for my account to be flagged for anything. I had the $50 Walmart Gift Card and my debit card with enough money on it to cover the total that was only 48 cents that was left over after using the $50 gift card on the order total $50.48. Both payments went through and order was confirmed, I even checked the debit card activity and shows the payment then the credit back a couple minutes later. I checked everything made sure I had all my information entered correctly everywhere and I noticed I hadn't verified my email address. So I clicked to verify it and successfully verified. Then I placed the same order but I changed it to send me a code via email to refill my phone instead of the previous order of a different method to refill it, just to make sure that wasn't the cause of the cancelation. The order was successful and again got a new confirmation number. Three minutes later I get the same text and email and payment was refunded...again. I tried one more time but the same thing happened. Sorry for ranting, I'm just so frustrated because there is no reason it should be flagging my account for credit fraud team to cancel my order.

    I will never again buy this as a gift or otherwise! I did buy it and a new phone for my older sister's birthday, who has never had a good cellphone in her 74 years. I never got the pin in the email and this plan is non returnable. It was embarrassing to have to ask my sister to buy a plan to activate her surprise birthday phone! I have been with Straight Talk for years and very happy. once again Walmart you disappointed me.

    ST $45 Direct Top Up "Out of stock."--what? Why?
    ST $45 Direct Top Up "Out of stock."--what? I've used Straight Talk as my service provider via Walmart.com utilizing the same simple method to maintain cell services for over 5 years and have not had any issues. That is until now. For the last two days my attempts to purchase the $45 Direct Top Up card has indicated as sold out and item details only shows the ePIN via email method as option to continue service for purchasing. Why? Trying to wrap my head around this inconvenience before losing my cell services waiting for the 'stock' to be restored.

    The ease of ordering from Walmart
    I like having the choice between Walmart putting the minutes on my phone or them sending me a pin %23 for me to do it myself. I had Walmart put minutes on my phone. The ease and no worry feelings one has doing it this way. The only down side is youl have to keep track of your own minutes to know when you need to buy more minutes.

    Twice now with two different phones just in this past few weeks I have bought a service plan and got scammed out of what I paid for. I can't figure out what to do. Only thing I know is I'm not happy. I don't know if this is a Walmart thing or a straight talk thing but I'm not gonna waste no more money on this. Will be switching! Just done!!!

    I purchased a straight talk card online and was sent an activation confirmation email but the phone never got activated. i have tried to contact walmart for help but they are passing me on to straight talk and I cannot get help. they already have my money as of three days ago now.

    Top-up works, and it's easy.
    The top-up is easy and worth it if you have a few gift cards! Include your phone number and the purchase is automatically added. For me, it took around two hours to get the notification that my purchase was successful. That's a lot better for me than driving to and from Walmart, plus the agonizing wait at checkout.
