Great game room addition
This purchase was made by a 3 year old boy. He was saving change for over a year in his bank and he wanted a rod hockey table. He saw this online and wanted it, so he cashed in his bank change and had more than enough to buy it. So there will be 2 parts to this review, from his perspective and that of mine as a parent (and kid at heart playing this with my son). 3 year old - Plays well, smooth, have a blast playing it. Easy to change teams. Easy to take apart to store it and put it back together when playing it. Wish it came with the Blues instead of Toronto, but bought the Blues team pack to take care of that. Parent - Plastic, lots of plastic. Rods are aluminum, but everything else is plastic. It does bend, and the playing surface will warp a little but over all is decent. There are some places where the table is warped and are bad play spots due to the player's stick going over the puck. When putting the players down on the rods, I hold the end of the rod under the "ice" for support in fear that if I don't, it will break. Play control is good, this is not an arcade style game and so control is finger tip only. Not a problem really, it is great to play for fun. Love the ability to use "Bernie's Box" (Blues fans know what I'm talking about) and the ability to pass from wing to wing around the boards behind the net. Even more so, the fact that a defenceman can cut that passing lane off also, so it's not an always open passing lane on the game. My son and I have a lot of fun playing this game and he loves having it set up as a Blues vs Red Wings game. I like that you can get a team pack and put any NHL teams out there to play against. This is a great price also. My son was able to buy this game, a St. Louis Blues team pack and has enough left to buy a 4th team for the same amount that this game would have cost at other locations.

    good but a bit pricey
This is what we were looking to gift our son. He really likes it. It is a bit expensive for what you get, but overall, it's a good toy. Would like it to be a little heavier in weight so it can't move while playing. Were concerned w/ ordering through Walmart + it shipping from Wayfair. Very smooth process.
