Great for Work
I love the retractable microphone! its perfect for when I have work calls during lunch. My last headset I kept getting salad on my microphone. Headphone is durable, and looks like it will last for a while. Sound quality is average, but for the price tag it is a good value.

Headset is garbage. There is alot of static coming through the left ear and it distorts everything so much that it sounds robotic.

    Great bang for your buck!
This thing is awesome! It was at a great price and a much-needed upgrade. The ski band design is super comfortable and I could wear this thing for hours at a time if I ever played video games that long haha! I was hesitant to buy this product because of the retractable mic and I was worried it would break. It is very well built and it is a great feature to have. The mute button is a little cumbersome at first but soon it becomes very efficient. My previous mic was a flip-down for unmute flip-up for mute type and I will admit that I prefer that design much more but this way still works great. The cables are very high quality and my biggest complaint is the angle that the cable comes out of the headset from the back. It is at an angle going back which is nice to keep the cord out of our way but if you sit in a recliner or on a couch and lean back you can occasionally feel the way that cable pushes out. Very minor. Overall awesome product!

    pretty nice
comfortable on my ears compared to a diff brand i had, not quite surround sound/noise cancelling but good enough. i think the real test will be in how long they last.

    It's a solid headset
The quality on these headsets are actually pretty good, I've had mine for about a year and no problems with it yet. One thing I like about this headset is the fabric/cloth strap that rest on your head, most headphones push and weight down on your head and hair leaving indents across the top, with the strap it practically gets rid of that and it's easily adjustable with the Velcro straps.

    Doesn't live up to expectations
The bad: SteelSeries no longer supports Artis 3 headsets with SteelEngine, so you won't be able to adjust the EQ on a PC to fine tune the sound. The "noise cancelling" microphone does a decent job of filtering out low rumble sounds, but the voice of anyone speaking in your direction will still be heard clearly by everyone on the other end of your conversation. Because the earcups do a decent job of blocking outside side, your voice will be seem distorted when you talk. The net effect is like listening to your own voice when you have your fingers plugging in your ears. The frame makes a lot of plastic, squeaking sounds when you walk around with the headset on. It's distracting when I'm on calls and there isn't a lot of sound. Perceived volume even with the knob turned up to maximum is noticeably quieter than my Bose or Plantronics headsets. Doesn't come with a pop filter for the boom mic. The good: The fabric pads on the earcups are comfortable and seal well even for people who wear glasses, so background noise in your vicinity is somewhat masked. When sitting still, that makes it easier to focus. The cables provided are more than long enough. I use the short one with a single jack to connect to either my cell phone or my laptop. I add the Y-adapter cord to connect to my desktop PC. The retractable mic is a better choice for my usage pattern (may need to answer a call at any moment) than the detachable microphones used in the Arctis 3 and 7 models.

    Great headset for the price
I used to use my earbuds for my computer, then "upgraded" to a cheap, $10 headset that was more comfortable but worse quality. Really happy to be using this now. The bass surprised me. I don't game too much, but hectic games like Battlefield 5 and Borderlands are way more fun to play for the sound quality alone-- the mic is really nice too, though I appreciate the way it retracts back into the headset so at least Idon't look like I'm gaming at work.
