3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser02/02/2019Ok, but could have been more. 3.5 starsIn my quest to find a VR game that feels like a fully fleshed out game (and being a Trekkie as well), I grabbed this along with the Next Gen DLC. This game can be played both in VR mode and non-VR, but just doesn't feel as amusing to stare at a one-dimensional bridge in non-VR mode. Graphically, in VR Mode, the details seem well done, although the displays are a bit simplified and you unfortunately, can't really explore the ship outside the bridge or other locations. The game itself seems to be a bit more tailored to multi-player as you can have different people play the 4 roles on the bridge, which can be frustrating and amusing at the same time, depending on who is involved. I am more of a solo-player, but the fun of being in command of the ship, wears a bit thin after a bit with the cumbersome commands that you have to issue to do simple tasks as the AI seems a bit dumb at times. The solo campaign suffers from the same fate as many VR games currently and feels too short. There are tons of potential here that could have made this game much more than just a bridge simulator. It would have been great if there were more in-depth missions with off world exploration and deeper galaxy exploring. Instead, there are basic missions that seem to be variations of the same thing. A more complete story line with deeper quests are really needed to make this game something other than a novelty. The Next Gen DLC adds some new content, but still lacks the things that this game really needs to make it feel complete. For me, the game has its fun moments and is ok, but after the novelty wears off of sitting in a virtual bridge, I realize how much more this could have been. For a VR sim, this is one of the better ones, but like many VR games, feels incomplete and too short, like a glorified demo. 3.5 starsJWS9518
