Many benefits and No fishy taste
Spring Valley Omega-3 with 1000mg per serving has many health benefits and has a natural lemon flavoring to control fishy taste. I have been taking Spring Valley fish oil for many years due to high cholesterol and mine is under control. Regular fish oil has a tendency to make me burp and my doctor told me to freeze them and that works great. I have not had the burping problem with the Omega-3 capsules. Omega-3 is made from fish oil and has science based benefits to help combat depression and anxiety which is two of the most common mental disorders in the world. Studies shoe that those who regularly take Omega-3 are less likely to have depression or anxiety and those who have it show improvement with Omega-3. DHA a type of Omega-3 is a major part of the retina and getting enough DHA is linked to a reduced risk of Macular Degeneration a leading cause of eye damage and blindness. Omega-3 is helpful in brain growth and infant development. It can improve risk factors for heart disease and reduce symptoms of ADHD in children. There are many more benefits to taking Omega-3 capsules from fighting inflammation to helping your skin. You only need take 1 per day to receive all these benefits.

Fishy odor, fishy burps, at least 1 broken cap
Noticed bottle smelled fishy when opened- tried one, and started having fishy burps in less than 1/2 hour. I emptied the bottle and found two caps were stuck to the side- one cap fell off when I set the bottle down, but the other stayed in place until I shook it loose, and it left a sticky residue, shown in pics. I've had worse fish oil caps, but I didn't want to take these for 6 months- returned for refund.

    They work for me, 1 a day.Spring Valley
    I have been taking for years according to my doctor says we need omega 3. Tried others before and indigestion and really didnt help my triglycerides. This is not fishy tasting to me because of lemon added in each. I really know these have helped me. I only take 1 a day. I get the small ones when I find them but otherwise I get regular size capsules.

    Similar to Other Omega 3 Fish Oil Supplements
    Not sure this is the best source for Omega-3. In doing my research I found a list of fish the highest amount fatty acids. This supplement only has one of them being Mackerel. Anchovies and sardines are not listed at all. Coupled with the fact that this product says: Contains anchovies AND/OR herring AND/OR mackerel AND/OR sardines. This is not a great description what is actually in these softgels. To me it's like saying maybe it has this AND/OR maybe it doesn't. I do like that it says no artificial items such as sugar, artificial color or artificial flavor. It is supposed to have "Natural Lemon Flavor" however, as usual this ends up tasting fishy. I can taste the fishiness is the back of my throat. So, the lemon flavoring did not help alleviate the fishy aftertaste. I'm sure it's difficult to get rid of that and I appreciate this Spring Valley at least tried. I read that the key is to ensure that the product is mercury-free, as pure as possible and contains the right amount of EPA and DHA. Mercury Free was not indicated on the bottle but it did have a QUALITY GUARANTEED statement on the label. As far as feeling like it was helping me, there was no significant changes in the way I felt. Perhaps if I continue to take these softgels I may notice something after a longer time. It's hard to tell how something works after just a few weeks of using it. I wouldn't say I would not recommend this product, it would just be a case of whether this product works well and is not as expensive as other products made with the same ingredients.

    Feeling Good
    I do like this Omega 3. I haven't had it very long, but already I can feel the difference--and I can feel the difference if I forget to take it. Just one pill a day actually gives me more energy, something I've had little of for quite a while because of health issues. This also stimulates my hunger mechanism, not a lot, but enough where I remember to eat at least something once or twice a day. Maybe that's another reason I'm feeling better. Try it. I think you'll like it as much as I do.

    Spring Valley Omega-3 from Fish Oil Softgels, 1000 Mg, 180 Ct. selected through the Wal Mart Spark Reviewer Program in exchange for my honest opinion. A dietary supplement that promotes heart, immune, and bone health. Fish oil is one of the most commonly consumed dietary supplements. It is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which are very important for your health. If you do not eat a lot of oily fish, taking a fish oil supplement could help you get enough omega-3 fatty acids. According to research, Cholesterol levels: It can increase levels of “good” HDL cholesterol. However, it does not appear to reduce levels of “bad” LDL cholesterol. I am always being told my cholesterol is slightly elevated so I am taking these with the hope that I won't hear that again. Blood pressure: Even in small doses, it helps reduce blood pressure in people with elevated levels. I am also hoping to see a change in my blood pressure with these. They are not that easy to swallow, they are rather large. Studies also show that fish oil may help reduce weight loss. Does not happen overnight so I can not wait to see results if this is the case.

    Good Value for a Quality Product!
    I have taken fish oil for years, and I am "still kicking". One of the first things I noticed is that it is not fishy, while taking or afterward. The dosage is one soft gel per day, and each one is 1000 mg,, and 15 calories. It boasts highly refined fish oil, and is a product of Canada, which I trust. These gelcap's are slightly larger than the ones which I have been taking (also Spring Valley), but I noticed no difference when swallowing them. What I really like, too, is the reassurance that no Gluten, Yeast, Milk or milk derivatives, Lactose, Sugar, artificial color, or artificial flavor is added. It is so good to be reassured this way. I trust this Omega-3 fish oil, because I have trusted the brand for years, and with the potency, the lack of a fishy taste, and the omega 3 benefits, I don't think I can lose!

    Fish Oil Softgels
    I was glad to first time try this product because l hear all good things about this, first of all it's a sofrgel pill which makes it easier to swallow and Spring Valley Omega -3 has 180 count softgels and its 1000 Mg . Taking the one a day softgel is like eating such food like salmon or tuna . Also they enhanced with natural lemon flavoring to help with the unpleasant aftertaste. Plus you can find this product at your local Walmart.

    Excellent Omega-3 supplement
    I take fish oil for its reputed cardiovascular benefits. There is some controversy on this, of course. I know, from my experience however, that it appears to certainly lower my triglycerides. I have confirmed this via blood testing. Lower triglycerides should have health benefits. There is also some evidence it may be beneficial for arthritis and other inflammatory diseases. There are other reputed benefits as well. For more information on the benefits of fish oil, I would recommend online research. This particular formulation has a large dose of both EPA and DHA. It contains 645 mg of EPA and 310 mg of DHA. That gives it almost a 1000 mg of these essential fatty acids. I have found that if I take the fish oil capsules a few hours after a meal, I don't get the fishy burps or aftertaste. At this dose, you only need to take one per day. I certainly can recommend them.

    Works for me
    I have been taking Spring Valley Fish Oil products for some years now. I believe that it does me good. I know that some say there is no proof. There is one study that strongly suggests that the DHA component really helps us old folks with our memory. I believe it does that for me. I intend to keep using it.
