Home use voltage tester.
Bought 2, 1 works, 1 DOA. This is why I took off a star. Got the replacement. Both now apeared to work as expected. Feel nice in the hand and the quality is great. The sensitive dial is too small and therefore hard to use if you have large fingers. Will have to wait and see if they hold up for home use.

    Welcome Surprise. Its a VD6509.
    This is actually turned out to be a VD6509, two levels higher than the VD6505. It was a welcome surprise and explains the little extra cost than some competitors. It works great.

    Worth every dollar
    Works excellent. Great way to tell if the voltage is still active or not. The sensitivity adjustment is very useful. Works on romex wire and extension cords as well. Detects AC only, does not detect DC voltage.

    Easy, compact, wide range, safe
    My husband, who is very knowledgeable and has many tools, meters, etc., was very impressed with this sensor. It detects very low voltage. It easily detects wiring in the wall. It's easy to use. It's small, fits in a pocket.
