Love it just what I needed it for my shoes
I don't understand why people be complaining I wasn't worried much cause I'm using this for my shoes and for the price you can't expect it to be like other bookcase that pricey and more stable. I'm happy with my purchase I just wish I would've brought the 5 shelves. I was worried it wasn't going to fit in the space between my two closet.. I would recommend it's easy to built 20 minutes for me by myself. Also I would recommend when you're nailing in the back be easy I chip the back part but thanks god the shelves cover it .

    Would be better if the corners weren't damaged....
    Ordered this online. While I knew what I was expecting for the reasonable price, I wasn't expecting some of the corners of the boards to be heavily nicked. I don't mind minor scratches, but when a whole corner is so damaged, it's difficult to apply the screws in--that's unacceptable. And because another corner is badly chipped, the bookcase isn't completely sturdy and sways slightly forward on a flat surface. If you're ordering this online, you might wanna think twice.

    Good product but some pieces have broken edges or corners
    Overall the product looks fine, and the price is low. However, three pieces came with broken edges and corners. So I rate is as 4 stars. Otherwise it is 5.

    I ordered two (white). This is the first put-together product that I've received where the holes were properly drilled and matched up. And, plenty of supplies. The instructions are pictures only, so I had to figure out a few things. Both arrived on time as promised, in good shape and fairly easy to put together. The back is heavy cardboard (color matches the bookcase), attached with small nails to the back. I'm using them as shelves in my master closet to hold linens and other items. I recommend this bookcase if you don't need a heavy-duty, all-wood, frequently used bookcase (like shoving books in and out a lot as the back may become loose). All you need is a small hammer and Phillips screwdriver to put them together. They are great, basic, shelves.

    Not as expected, made for lightweight items-not books
    I read reviews this is strudy. The shelves and sides are strudy but the WEIGHT LIMIT for each shelf is 15lbs. I believe the weight limit is due to the flimsy plastic shelf supports. No where in the description did I see a weight limit. I bought this for BOOKS. Books are HEAVY. So I need to go the hardware store and find some good shelf supports. Also the back is made of a flimsy foldable cardboard. Wasn't expecting that either. Description stated it was made in Canada, not so. Product was made in MEXICO. Since description of place of production is wrong, is the material description wrong too? If you're looking for a display for lightweight items and easy to assemble this will be perfect for you.

    Great-looking Shelves for the Money!
    I bought two of these bookshelves to replace the desk in my studio apartment. They sit side by side, flush, and they look like one solid unit. I have different storage bins and baskets on the shelves to hold all of my items in a clean, fashionable way. Even though the pieces are not made from real wood, the bookshelves still look great and do look like real wood. The chocolate is a rich, dark, dark brown, much more like typical expresso-colored furniture. They're also amazingly easy to put together. Took about 30 min for each one. The instructions and illustrations are very clear, and assembly only requires a philips screwdriver and hammer. My apartment is carpeted, and I'm not putting anything ridiculously heavy on the shelves and I don't have children, so I did not use the security bracket to tether it to my wall, but it does come with one. Overall great purchase, I'm very happy with how they turned out.
