Exactly what I needed
Easy to put together, did it by myself in under an hour (even though the description says two adults). It's exactly what I needed.

Be careful with the back of this bookcase
We bought the 5 shelf bookcase to match this one. We found the back of this shelf much more flimsy than the 5 shelf. As soon as we took this out of the box our cats were all interested in what was going on. We put the back of this shelf on the floor, the cat stepped on it and it broke immediately. Now, I understand this is partly user error however the said cat is only about 5 lbs. We've been able to fix it but it was annoying. (The cat survived just in case you're wondering!) As with the other shelves, we love the color and we're using this as the stand for our TV. We've put the gaming consoles and games in the shelving as well as our DVR box. It looks pretty good. We've had compliments on this one too. No thanks to the cat.

    Love it just what I needed it for my shoes
    I don't understand why people be complaining I wasn't worried much cause I'm using this for my shoes and for the price you can't expect it to be like other bookcase that pricey and more stable. I'm happy with my purchase I just wish I would've brought the 5 shelves. I was worried it wasn't going to fit in the space between my two closet.. I would recommend it's easy to built 20 minutes for me by myself. Also I would recommend when you're nailing in the back be easy I chip the back part but thanks god the shelves cover it .

    Good product but some pieces have broken edges or corners
    Overall the product looks fine, and the price is low. However, three pieces came with broken edges and corners. So I rate is as 4 stars. Otherwise it is 5.

    A bookcase that large books actually fit.
    The South Shore 3-Shelf bookcase is a great value; looks good with plenty of height between the shelves for books and a few decorative items without appearing overfilled. It goes nicely with my other furniture. And happily the delivery time was 4-5 days less than as estimated when I placed the order.

    Better looking than expected
    This seems at first glance to be a common inexpensive particle board unit. But for the price, it is better than any others I have seen, and my son put it together quickly. I would say easily, as well, but particle board is really heavy! Anyway, a pretty decent inexpensive unit.

    Great Book case
    In comparison to some other things I've put together lately, this book case was a breeze! Every thing is nicely labeled (on the wood part, so no unsightly stickers) and all parts are accounted for. The book case is really tall, there would be room for another shelf, it's too bad it doesn't come with four, we discussed making another to have more space that is why I gave "features" a three. You could fit some reallllly tall books in this! Durability seems good, it has only been put together for a day or so, we'll give it a few years.

    I wanted this to fit under my tv that hangs on the wall, to hide all the cable and tv wires. It is perfect for that. The little pegs that hold the shelves in place are a little cheesy, but serve their purpose. Its not as nice as the Better Homes and Garden line that Walmart carries.

    Just what I needed...
    I needed a bookcase to display pictures, caps and a trophy in. This case met all my requirements and expections. I have a 31" Sony flatscreen sitting on the top shelf. Perfect for the bedroom. The case is easy to assemble and very sturdy!
