When I am watching shows on my DVR, the system perfectly distributes the sound accurately around the room, and when I use it for listening to music, the dynamic range is just excellent. Then Sonos had the audacity to release the Arc, and the Beam was relegated to the bedroom. I thought I was good and satisfied but then I realized I needed Sonos sound everywhere. Since I'm a big fan of stereo, that meant two Roams. Finally, I was happy, except I kept reading about how the Sub could add new life to your system. This week I capitulated!!!!! God help me to not fall prey to the next release.Jofara

However, it was missing a little something. This Christmas I bought a Sub, and wow, what a difference in the sound quality! I can feel the bass instead of just hearing it. It is truly a cinematic experience watching movies now. I am astounded by the clarity of the highest highs and the lowest lows. Arc and Sub - the perfect combination!markthefoamguy

I have it working with a playbar and a pair of sonos ones for my home theater. The only downside is the sub does not operate independently from the home theater, so I cannot individually select it to function while listening to music on the rest of the sonos ones throughout the house. It can be set up independently, but then it will not operate as a whole with the rest of the home theater setup. Not a big deal, but worth noting. Would be better if all the speakers in the home theater group could be individually selected instead of being forced to select the entire group when listening to music.Justin

We bought the subwoofer from Walmart and Arc soundbar/OneSLs from Costco. Costco has the Shadow edition (no microphone). Both were delivered right to the house, no issue.Angelique
