Stay with tried and proven it works when you need
I previously had a newer 2 teribite hard drive and my computer got unplugged while it was running, this destroyed the hard drive because it didn't write to an actual disc. So I ordered this one it's slightly larger and slightly slower than the drive my computer was built but we have power outages from time to time and this is a better option. I mentioned that it was slightly larger than the original, the other one had to have a spacer to make it fit into the computer slot. The wires are all the same. I am very pleased.

Dead Drive
I neglected to install this right away and it's been in the shipping box on the shelf. Installed it and it's a dead drive. I tested it in another machine as well. It's past the 30-day return point unfortunately

    Love it.
    I got this in about 3 days of ordering. I needed it, to replace the hard drive in my security system. It took almost 10 min. to replace the drive. ( With the help of youtube ) am very happy with it.

    Seagate 2tb for surveillance system
    I was weary on buying this brand since I didnt know what kind would work for my heimvision surveillance system" But darn good thing we bought this one! 2tb gives us a over a month of recording hours!! Good pick on this an a good price!

    Device Does Not Work, Seller Will Not Respond
    I ordered this device, did not get the rest of my PC parts in time to test within the Walmart return window, which is my fault. I did not remove this device until time to actually install it into my system and it does not work. My PC will find the device, so it is powered and appropriately plugged in. The issue comes from initializing the disk, I have done everything to fix it on my end, and after many hours the consensus is that the device is simply defective. I have gone through Walmart to contact the seller for assistance on the issue, I was told they would respond within 48 hours (I understand it is an automated message), but it has been a week with no response.

    It was poorly packaged, otherwise works as intended. Good for mass storage. Please use an SSD for primary storage though.
