Waste of $59. It was working great then one night my computer turned off while it was plugged in and that was the end of it. No drops, shakes, just my computer turned off. Already threw away the box and didn't sign up for the warranty. Data recovery costs more than it's worth. Most of the stuff is things I can replace but I lost all my video recordings for my yt channel. Figured I might as well open it up to see if the platter head was just stuck. The entire head needs to be replaced. Totally not worth it. Going to stay far away from this brand for future storage needs.

    works
connectors seem to be solid unlike most other brands i have bought (lacie, wd, owc, etc). I took 18 hours to back up 500gb from a lacie drive on my 2008 mac, however this may not be the fault of this drive?

Disappointed that it did not last even a year.
Sadly this external drive failed just shy of one year with all of my photos on it.

2TB at this price is Amazing
I recently replaced my full size desktop with a NUC Box (teny tiny compact computer). The hard drive is 512 which is fine, but I wanted more storage space since I hade over 6TB in my old desktop. This drive was recognized with no problems and formatting went smoothly. Now I have an extra 2TB on a computer smaller than the drive itself. I am not using it for photo storage (much) but it is still working Great. So far I love it; longevity is still to be seen.

Bought this for PS5. Works great.
Transferred my PS4 games to this drive to ease space on the PS5 console. The load times are a tad slower I think but nothing to really complain about.

    Flawless
Best $ I spent in a while, because of the 3.0 USB speed data transfer it works flawlessly with my PS five it's just not for photos lol.

Great Storage for Photos and Documents
I bought this flash drive as an end-of-the-semester gift to myself to save all of the files and videos from my online classes. I saved all of my work from this semester to this flash drive and many hours worth of lectures and I barely put a dent in the storage capacity of this! It works great for regular documents as well as photos and videos. I'd recommend this to anyone who's trying to organize their digital life or remove items from your computer to improve performance. For this price, snag this if you see it!

It's just a normal external drive!
The most common question or related question seems to be: Is this normal external drive? Can I use it for files other than photos. Simple answer: It is a normal external drive and it supports any file format that you use with Windows or Mac. If you're looking for something fast(er) than consider buying a 3.5 instead of 2.5 (keep it mind 35 aren't typicall designed to be portable). The Mylio "Photo Drive" advertisement is a gimmick. Mylio isn't even bundled with drive. It's downloaded from the internet and has a limited mult-year "premuim" version but you can use the free version as well without needing to buy the drive. Mylio itself is a photo catalog app that allows editing of photos and videos. If that's something you're interested in then I recommend downloading the app first to test drive it. It doesn't store your photos and videos in an offline storage (if that's something you're looking for). It does have a redundancy system in case you want to restore a previously edited file. There are however plenty of other paid and free photo and video editing tools that do a similar or better job... without needing access to all of your devices. If you're just looking for simple, cheap drive then look no further. I always recommend buying new instead from resellers or refurbished (unless you don't care about the data) when it comes to HDDs. Too many bad experiences to recommend otherwise. The drive itself is moderately quick (see attached photo). You should be able to format it to NTFS or Ext1 but it should support any other file format. It should function on any device including consoles that support up to or greater than 2TB. Backup the original HDD files to an online account before formatting the drive. I would've given this 5 stars but I don't like white enclosures, the speed, and gimmicky software/product bundling.
