love it
I purchased 3 of these. I put it in my garage as I'm converting it to a kids play room. it was easy to put together i did it myself and organized it for the kids to have. my children said it was like being at the school library. its kinda what I was going for the book case is tall more than 5 feet i did add a wall paper to the back to give it a expensive look. I did wish it had more shelf to add as some slots were to large. but it came out great and I'm happy with my purchase. it took over a month to get to me but with the government shut down I can understand.

Save your money! This is JUNK!
Sauder's has been my go-to for decades because of its quality. That is NOT the case here. First of all, the design stinks. It is really two shelves on top of each other, which I didn't realize until I saw that the box it was delivered in was less than half the size it was supposed to be. The holes in the pieces were drilled too deeply, which made the cam screws go in too far to connect. Then the pieces started splintering, making the cam screws useless. The cardboard backings were trash; kept splitting as I was trying to nail it to the shelf. I spent too much time trying to keep the whole thing from breaking apart while I was putting it together! I shouldn't have to correct manufacturing flaws with my hot glue gun on a piece that just came out of the box! This was supposed to be a gift, but it is junk that I will have to refurbish it to make it worthy

    Overall good buy!
    I think this book shelf was a great addition to our home. However it scratched easily and the backing is just cardboard. The instructions were easy however I would recommend 2 people to put together. Love that it came with a safety hook!!

    I am very pleased over all with the sturdiness and size of this book case. My only complaint is the cheap, flimsy "back" panel. It's not made of wood like the rest of the unit. It's paper thin and can easily be damaged from the nails provided. It also comes in two separate pieces, leaving a seam across the center. For my needs, I will likely have to buy a separate piece to replace it.

    Sauder products used to be better. The back of these shelves is tri-folded CARDBOARD. I don't want to see the folds as I do and this is not sturdy enough. They'll do but only just.

    I thought this would be a perfect buy since I've purchased the brand before. However the backing of the bookshelf is no thicker than 3 Bristol boards. I absolutely HATE it. The rest of the shelves are strong & sturdy so I don't know WHY one would decide to give it such a weak, flimsy, cheap back board. I'm So disappointed in this purchase. U need to handle it with such care because any force would ( and did) cause a rip. This was an online purchase

    Ok bookshelf
    This would of been a great bookshelf if the corner wasnt a little mashed in. Also the back board is so flimsy that when I when to put it on the crease where it was folded tore. I dont know why companies use this kind of backing especially for $80. They need to use something thicker. I probably wouldnt purchase again. I would like to find a bookshelf with sturdier backing.
