Looks beautiful but cracks
I was so happy to find Rubbermaid Brilliance at my warehouse store and purchase two large sets. I trusted the Rubbermaid brand, and they containers are beautiful, store nicely,microwave safe, dish washer safe, etc. After a few months the containers starred cracking and seal rings separated from the lids. Now I have to find something else to replace them with Very disappointing and devalues the Rubbermaid name and reputation.

    Best buy for food storage
    These are the best food storage dishes I have ever used. The plastic is sturdy and does not retain the flavor of foods that are stored. Another plus is that the plastic does not stain. I have ordered a couple of sets because I can store so many things like cookies, bread, and leftovers. Lettuce stays crisp. Love this brand.

    Best containers I've ever found.
    Grabbed these today as I was short containers and needed to pack up my Italian red gravy to share at work. I'm so glad I went with these. I'm going back to buy another set, I've never liked containers as much as I do these. There is seal at the top, you can feel it seal up and then once you click the tabs it's very secure. Rubbermaid hit the nail on the head with this set. I made some mascarpone and it's perfect for storing after you strain it.

    Great Containers
    I am going to regret leaving this review. These storage containers are awesome! I just took out 3 whole zucchinis I purchased from the farmers market 2 weeks ago and they are still fresh. I don't use a microwave but there are vents for that under the locking tabs. The greatest thing is that they don't stain. Please don't buy them out I'm going for the 20 next lol

    The cracks broke my heart- The love is gone.
    Purchased the 18 piece set to upgrade my mix & match storage containers. These were perfect, as it looked like glass and was crystal clear. I needed something that was dishwasher safe (although I always hand wash) and could be used in the microwave. Six months later, I noticed hairline cracks appearing! I continued to use them, as they were not leaking. But one by one- they found there way to the trash. My restaurant containers have lasted longer than these. Now I'm down to a few usable pieces and back to my mix & match pieces to complete my food storage needs. I love Rubbermaid... but Rubbermaid doesn't love me. Heartbroken.

    Not dishwasher safe!!!!
    I bought mine about 3 months ago. I found them to be a very attractive container, they looked like glass. However once they went into my dishwasher they cracked and some spots warped. I really wish I never put them in my dishwasher as now I am out two of my 6 containers :(

    Not as durable as I'd hoped
    I bought several of these containers in various sizes, based on the great reviews. However, in less than a month I have my first casualty. I only use the containers in the fridge and for dry storage (because of the airtight seal). The lid for my 4.7 cup container is certainly no longer air tight. I hope this is not the standard as these are pricey and not as durable as reviews implied.

    Loved at first, but now not sure
    At first I really liked this product and started to replace all my other containers with various sizes of this one so therefore the age and usage of them all varies. I've been using the product in general for a little less than a year I suppose and started to notice cracks appearing in different ones. I've already thrown away a couple of the smaller ones thinking it was something I did wrong but now noticing something different. Yesterday I put a perfectly clear 3.2 cup container in the dishwasher and it came out this morning cracked and looking like a spider web. I went back to read about the care recommendations again and there was nothing specific about dishwashers. very disappointed. Jury still out whether I will buy again.

    Looks amazing. Doesn't hold up.
    I really hoped these would be amazing food storage containers. I actually ditched all of my old containers when I bought these, because the promise and trust of the Rubbermaid brand is so strong with me. However, after using them for a few months, I've realized they really don't hold up that well at all. All of my containers have developed stress cracks in various places, and have also showed bubbling along the walls. Is that bubbling plastic making it into the food I'm eating? : I'd love to continue to buy additional ones of these from Rubbermaid, but these just haven't been reliable.
