Love the simplicity
I upgraded to the Roku 4K Ultra HD and love it, replacing my older Roku, which I had for years and never had a problem. I have a 4K TV and, with my Roku 4K device, the picture is excellent, better than my cable TV picture. I've never hesitated to recommend Roku. What I like most is the user interface and the simplicity of the handheld device. Even if you have a smart TV that connects to Netflix, Amazon, etc., I still prefer the Roku device for accessing those channels. Roku is cool and a great deal.

High maintenance device. Not worth the money.
I purchased the Roku Ultra and for the most part it works ok. Like a standard Roku. But when is comes to working with a 4K TV, forget about it. I could never get it to play a 4K video without unplugging the HDMI cable and replugging it back in. Once it started playing the 4K video, if another video was go to stream next, I'd have to unplug the cable again and reinsert it. I tried several HDMI cable of different manufacturers, quailiy and cost. The TV is a brand new LG OLED. Tried Roku support...no response.

    Had it for years, best purchase!
    I've had this for years now. Still works until this day. One of the best purchases I've ever made. When I can't find the remote it sends an alert sound so that you can locate where it is, it has all the apps I use, it is cheaper than some other streaming devices. I love my Roku.

    Have had for over a year now. Have some issues with staying connected to the internet even though we have a direct connect fiber optic service. Overall I would recommend.

    ROKU broke it and won't fix it.
    This thing is totally useless since one of the software updates in 2018. All I get is the audio with a black screen displaying error 020. I have been in email contact with ROKU for months trying to solve this and nothing works. Total waste of money and time. Save yourself a lot of frustration by staying away from this model, ...unless you like the 'old time radio' experience from your new 4K TV.

    REALLY GREAT DEVICE FOR INTERTAINMENT
    I BOUGHT TWO. ONE FOR LIVING ROOM AND ONE FOR BEDROOM. XFINITY ALLOWED A DOWNLOAD SO I COULD WATCH MY PROGRAMS WITHOUT THE USE OF A CABLE BOX. IT IS GREAT THAT BOTH HAVE ALLOWED THIS FEATURE. EASY TO SET UP IF YOU HAVE SOME EXPERIENCE WITH WIFI, COMPUTERS, AND INTERNET.

    Just another roku full of flaws
    Its not changed much from the 4640 model it is faster but they at roku have lousy tech support personel and their tech support is out of the country so good luck getting help their and the tech people are having difficult time getting the software update right inaddition to finding why the roku is not performing well after the update are applied i have the 4660rx x2 model and when you first turn it on it give an error message saying i have to remove a channel falied luanch of a channel due to their not being enough space when in fact i have micro sd card installed so i have reboot my device every time i first start it each day so as to not get that error message and this has been going on since the 4600 model was first intraduced and alot of people are still having trouble with the headphone situation

    Updated from Roku 3 and New Features
    I purchased this to upgrade my Roku 3 which I have had for about 5 or 6 years and was starting to slow down. So far I am loving feature that allows you to find the remote and the buttons to instantly start Sling, Amazon and Hulu. For me if there is one thing missing it would be the wrist strap on the remote because that is the only way for me to keep up with it from my grandchildren.

    Love that the remote controls the tv power.
    Been using the ultra for a couple of weeks. I like it a lot better than the Roku 3 I was using. The 3 was not controlling the volume on the tv. During commercials the volume would get too loud. This one does not have that issue. So far so good! I love the aquarium screensaver. I hope it doesn't change!!

    Really unifies it
    Not my first Roku, so in addition to the features I already liked, this also was able to recognize my TV so I can turn it on and control the volume through the Roku remote, meaning 99% of the time it's the only remote I need. Super easy to set up, too.
