The Roku 3 streaming player is awesome and was very easy to install. The only thing you need to know is that you will need to go the Roku site online to get a detailed installation guide. Once you do that the installation is very easy and mostly plug and play.

    Highly recommend
    I am happy with this purchase. Works great. The only thing I don't like is during the setup it asks you for credit card and did not give you the option to skip it. I did not want to provide it but have no way to proceed. Eventually I found out a trick is you exit out during the setup and go back to the page again, refresh the browser and now it will provide you the option to skip providing the credit card. This is annoying and hence I take one star away. I bought 4 devices and confirmed it happened to each devices

    Open up the world
    The ROKU unit should be a must for anyone sick of the usual TV chatter. So many channels and so many movies to watch. My wife only wants to go to a 30 day to cover it all. Easy to to set up after an on time delivery. Only wish is that a HDMI cable was included in the kit. I had to drive (almost) a mile to buy one.

    Good Christmas gift
    My dad loves this thing. It is easy to navigate through. The remote is simple to use. Only 4 stars because you HAVE to enter a credit card to set this thing up (you can set a pin # required for purchases). I went with the roku 3 after reading the bad reviews about roku 4.

    Works great except the ear buds
    We are long term Roku users and we prefer them over the smart blue ray players or the TiVo. We love the HD function of this Roku the picture is super clear and fullscreen. But the earbud function does not work I sent an email to Support and they sent me one back to try another set of earbuds of course those don't work either so I'm back to emailing Support again to see how I can get a new one or returning this one - pain in the rear. That is why they got four stars instead of five and if I don't get it fixed or replaced the rating will drop even more.

    The Roku 3 was super easy to set up. The only thing I wish for this player to do is have bigger letters...bigger print. It's small and I don't know how to enlarge it.

    I like the ROKU 3 so far. I have one minor negative issue related to the design. I am mildly hearing-impaired and was looking forward to using the ear bud jack on the remote while others in the room could hear the sound from the TV speakers. However, the sound on the TV is muted as soon as I plug ear buds into the jack. I think the design could easily be modified so that the TV sound is not affected when ear buds are plugged into the remote.
