Great product
I used two bottles of the dark violet to dye my queen size duvet and pillow shams and it came out a lovely light purple.

Doesn't work
Followed all directions on Rit Dye website, prewash item, add dish soap to solution, heat water in large porcelain pot on stovetop, test strip etc. Dyed a pair of light grey heathered leggings, in hopes of matching a shirt with darker grey on it. Leggings are 92% polyester, 8% spandex. Well my item is now a blueish color in heathered areas and still doesn't match. It's barley darker then it started out. Don't waste your $. Buy whatever it is your trying to dye. I did manage to dye my countertop, and sink, and clothing I was wearing with spots.

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser03/30/2023Great product just discovered.I used to use rit die all the time, but it only works with Cotten. I love the new rit dye more because it works with rayon and polyester. The process is a little involved, but it’s definitely worth it if you want to die some thing other than cotton. Walmart has a good price is well.Momshopper10

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser10/07/2022Pretty purpleRit was really easy to use. I used it to dye a white hoodie. I just poured the dye in my washer using hot water, and put my hoodie in the washer with it. And let it run its regular cycle. And when I pulled my hoodie out of the washer, it was a really pretty dark lavender color.Keisha

3.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser09/27/2022Okay but not great like the original for cottonsIt took 3 bottles in a giant soup pot to get polyester curtains to take any color. It will damage the rubber backing if you get it too hot but it states that on the bottle. Don’t forget to add the teaspoon of dish soap. Turned them from neon to olive. I was hoping for brown.Dye

5.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser08/06/2022great dye, possibly holds a blue tintholds INCREDIBLY well!!! it came out a little blue, but i was dyeing something that already had color to it, so it’s impossible for me to tell whether that’s the dye’s fault or not lol. just be aware before you buy, i re-did the toy i was dyeing with a very small amount of black and it worked much better.b

4.00 out of 5 stars reviewVerified Purchaser12/02/2020Do not dilute. If you want the end result to be black do not add water. I used it to dye upholstered chairs that were originally a sun daded lavendar. I painted undiluted dye on with a paint brush, let it dry, then poured boiling water over the chair. Let that sit, vthen rinsed with the hose. I am pleased with the results.myrockabillykitty
